One scoop is a good amount for a personal, two-cup teapot. Having a scoop is also a good way to adjust accordingly for teas of varying strength or fragrance; or for other serving sizes.The weight of the scoop itself is just enough to settle into the tea tin, but not too heavy as to sink in. The metal so far seems of quality, but time will tell whether this is actually plated metal that will flake and/or corrode or if it will tarnish.Although it would be nice to have one scoop for each tea, the scoop does well to avoid unwanted transferring of flavors between different containers.Also nice for scooping bulk powders.

I was a bit misled by the word "set" in the title of this product as I assumed there would be more than one piece. For the price, this is a bit steep for a single scoop, however it is very heavy weight and nicely made. The little icon on the handle is cute and this looks lovely sitting amongst loose tea leaves. I have a brass tea strainer that this goes very nicely with. I wish I had more, but can't justify the price for the number of teas I have!
