Broken in under two months. Wheel housing breaking away from the boot. Return window is closed, so I can’t get a refund. You get what you pay for.

I didn’t know how much of a difference it would be using home in-line skates as opposed to ones you get from the roller rink. I was concerned that the high price (well, high as opposed to renting them from the skating rink) would be for nothing and that I would have the same experience as I did at the rink. Not the case! These actually feel tailored to my feet, and they’re very comfortable to wear. Not irritating and grating like the ones at the rink that have been worn by a thousand other people. Plus they look so cool and they seem to stand up pretty well to the elements. I haven’t really had them wear down yet. Big fan of them and I’m hoping they’ll continue to impress me.

As a hockey player, these skates fit similar to hockey skates with them being about 1-1.5 sizes smaller than your shoe size, depending on if you want the tips of your toes touching the front while sitting. When you stand up to skate, they should pull back slightly. With that said, the Toe box of these Alkali skates needs more cushioning since it is rather hard and uncomfortable when you get it at performance which is -1.5 size of your regular shoe size. The Foot height is too roomy as well with quite a bit of negative space to the top of the boot. The laces were quite thin and just not strong enough to pull the sides of the skate tighter. See the picture where the boot is still very open rather than pulled tighter against the foot. This may change as the skates get broken in more, but if they used more of a stronger hockey lace, it would have more grip and power to cinch down the tops of the boot for a tighter fit. What I did like were the ball bearings felt good on a tennis court and had pretty good glide. Also, unlike many Inline skates, these really do look like hockey skates which is a nice plus.
