Rating: âââââ (5/5)I recently added the 6' Cedar Wooden Arch Bridge to my backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This beautiful and functional addition has completely transformed my outdoor space, creating a charming and serene atmosphere. Here's why I absolutely love this bridge:**1. Aesthetic Appeal:** The cedar wood used in this bridge is not only durable but also exudes natural beauty. The rich, warm tones of the wood are truly stunning and complement any backyard setting. The elegant arch design adds a touch of sophistication, making it a focal point in my backyard.**2. Easy Assembly:** The assembly process was straightforward, thanks to the clear and detailed instructions provided. It took me about one hour to put it together and seal it with Thompson's. All the necessary hardware was included, and the pieces fit together seamlessly (use cardboard to space your boards!!).**3. Sturdy and Durable:** Despite its graceful appearance, this bridge is surprisingly sturdy and well-constructed. It easily supports the weight of both myself and my guests as we walk over it. The cedar wood is naturally resistant to decay and insects, ensuring this bridge will stand the test of time.**4. Versatile Use:** I appreciate the flexibility this bridge offers in terms of placement. I chose to position it over a small "creek" (creek is a bit of a stretch) running through my yard, creating a picturesque scene. The bridge is versatile and can be used to span water features, walkways, or even as a decorative addition to a garden.**5. Low Maintenance:** The cedar wood requires minimal maintenance. I applied a sealant to protect it from the elements, and it has held up beautifully even in the face of changing weather conditions. In summary, the 6' Cedar Wooden Arch Bridge has been a fantastic addition to my backyard. Its combination of beauty and functionality has truly enhanced my outdoor space, making it an inviting and charming place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. I highly recommend this bridge to anyone looking to add a touch of elegance and utility to their outdoor environment. It's a worthwhile investment that will continue to bring joy and beauty for years to come.

Like some other reviewers, I bought this bridge to span a dry creek bed landscape feature designed to divert rainwater away from our house. My motivator was I needed a surface that would make it easy to push my lawn mower across on its way back and forth from the storage shed. This size (4') will serve that purpose nicely, and it's well suited to the span of our artificial "creek".... while looking nice enough to enhance the environment around the house.I'm very methodical in reading directions and assembling stuff, so I'm sure it took me longer to put together than the average person. I'd say I was done in about 45 minutes. I believe someone said they had it together in 10 minutes or something like that. I'd say that's doable - but the spacing of the steps may not be as perfect as we OC folks desire! The spacers worked very well for positioning the foot planks - but, for me, not quite perfectly... so I used them as a handy guide to get close, and then made slight adjustments before screwing them in. Anyway, all parts had the look of quality - and it was nice to see that this product is made in Canada. I appreciated that they used a kind of shredded cardboard for packing material - worked well and is easily recycled. There is variation in the tone of the steps (see photos), but - as others have noted - not as dramatic as in the photo used for illustration. The bridge feels very sturdy and I'm certain it will stand up to any use - whether as a human bridge that anyone (of any size!) could use or for running my lawn mower or walk-behind brush mower over. Directions said that no staining or finishing is required, and I didn't do any - though I'm sure this piece would look even better if you're interested in doing that. It's always nice to purchase something that performs a function well and looks good doing it...

Easy to assemble but hardware is zinc coated screws. Suggest using stainless steel 1-5/8 inch deck screws instead. I never understood designing outdoor items with hardware that will rust in 2-3 years. It will be interesting to see how the cedar itself weathers over the years.

I keep buying more. These arrive in a compact box containing all planks pre-drilled and ready to screw together. We have got two of the 3 ft bridges, and one 5 ft. They are sturdy enough for me at 150 lbs, though I certainly try and avoid stepping on them when carrying anything heavy. The first 3 foot bridge I purchased about 5 years ago is still going strong.Assembly is pretty straight forward; start with the corner most screws, use a square to true it up before adding the next screws which will hold it in place. Then space out your remaining planks evenly before screwing in.

We have to have drainage in our back yard. This is the perfect size and height to provide access across the rocks. It took a couple hours to build because of the number of slats but it was simple. I've walked across numerous times already and it is comfortable and sturdy.

I bought this bridge to go in my front yard across a dry streambed. As packaged it was decently-constructed and quite pretty. However I needed it to be able to support a wheelbarrow full of dirt, since that pathway is my only access to my side/back yard. So, I used one of the two side supports as a template, and cut a third, identical support from a pressure-treated 2x8. Using stainless screws to match, it now has three supports, and quite easily supported several wheelbarrows full of gravel and leftover river rock.I would very highly recommend sealing the cedar with a good oil-based sealant to keep it looking nice for longer. For the price point, I really can't fault this.

I originally bought one, then ended up buying two more. A little pricey. I recommend that you throw stain on them and you will get longevity out of them.

The bridge is nice, however, it only comes with 4 rails. The centre is completely open. The pictures with add are incorrect. So if you’re not liking the open centre you may not like the look.
