Product Description

A good colander helps you be more efficient in the kitchen. You can pour spaghetti straight from a pot or wash a bunch of veggies all at once and your food stays safely inside while the unwanted water pours out. The larger openings at the top coupled with the smaller ones at the bottom help water flow better and drain faster. Everything about this colander is designed with durability in mind, from its stainless steel construction to its sturdy pedestal base that improves stability to its signature riveted handles that offer a strong grip. At 5 quarts it’s large enough to fit a mid-sized pot of noodles.

Renowned worldwide for its cookware collections, All-Clad now makes kitchen accessories, and that's welcome news to serious and professional cooks. This gorgeous 5-quart colander is a perfect example. Made of heavy, 18/10 stainless steel polished to a gleaming mirror finish, it's stain- and corrosion-resistant and nonreactive to acidic foods such as tomatoes. Its handles are generously sized for a firm grip and are riveted for strength. The rolled edges permit pouring without dripping. The 10-1/2-inch-diameter colander is dishwasher-safe and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Made so well, great size, easy clean by hand or dishwasher. Wish I would have bought it years ago vs the plastic one I had been using. Worth the investment.

I've had this colander for 3 years and it's still like new and never ever showed any signs of rust. I bought several other cheaper brand colanders and after about 6 months they would show signs of rust streaks, and I had to throw them all away. It's worth paying more money for a good colander. I have dual kitchen sinks, and the colander stays in one of the sinks all the time, because I pretty much use it every day. I was a little concerned about the hole pattern, being it's larger at top of colander and the holes get smaller at bottom, but it has worked well all these years.

Very, very solid. Good, basic 3 quart size. Hangs nicely if you need it to. The handle came off my previous (not All Clad) colander. I don’t expect to ever have to replace this.

I like it. Heavy, stainless, and not plastic. Not to big not to small.

Love it. Love the size, the weight, the look, how it works, how it comes out shiny and spot free from the dishwasher. I have a full set of All-Clad in the kitchen. This did not disappoint. Why did I wait so long?

You cannot go wrong with All-Clad! I bought Williams Sonoma Colanders for the same price and had to return it since it wouldn’t drain well! The holes were too close to each other and also too small! You have to shake it quickly left and right to drain it. The All-Clad colanders drains much better than Williams Sonoma and are heavier/thicker as well.

Apart from one very small but forgivable imperfection in the spot welding of the base during manufacture as it was made in China and Craftsmanship is always lacking. Still a better choice by comparison even though its somewhat over priced but I wouldn't have much to complain about if it was really made in the US or UK at this price. Having said all that I still went ahead and bought the 5 quart to use for other kitchen food processes. Apart from the one spot weld issue I would have surely given 5 stars.
