I have to to say that I liked the quality and style of the pants. However, I read the reviews that and knew the pants ran small. My 11yr old daughter just went up to a size large (14), so I went up a size and ordered the youth Xl. Upon receiving it my daughter loved the pants but they were too tight on the waist. I called customer service (@Alleson) and told the rep my issue. He advised me to go with an adult small, cause it would be sightly bigger. That he said sightly smaller left me iffy, so I went with an adult medium. I just received them and my daughter loves them, but I should’ve listened to the rep cause the adult small would’ve been perfect. I’m keeping the medium, cause it’s doable. But for anyone with a child size youth large(14) with a close to slim built I would recommend an adult small. This is why I gave 3 stars instead of 5 Now if you want some slack incase your child grows then the med. Hope this was helpful.

I guess I should’ve looked at the size chart. The description said womens so I assumed they were womens…nope…and now that I can’t return them I guess I’ll hang on to them until my 2-year old grows into them.

They do in fact run small, BUT if you have a little or a skinny mini then these are perfect!!! My 6 year old (wears 5-6 clothes) is average size and the small fits her like a glove. My 11 year old just moved up to a large but I will say she is super skinny. She is about 5 foot and 72 pounds. The youth sizes are perfect for little girls or skinny preteen. I have about 30 pairs of all sizes between both my girls! It's my favorite brand.
