This bridge is very strong and high quality requiring only minor shaping (just a hand file and sandpaper) to fit my Dean Acoustic Bass. I do suggest going with light strings since it will drop the action about 1/16th of an inch. There's no frat buzz. Just easier to play. I did not file string grooves, didn't need to tuning stays spot on even with new strings and have not had any slippage at all. Wish I could give it 6 stars. Shipping was quick also.

Great product, had to modify slightly but noticeable improvement in sound. Used in my Takamine acoustic and recommend over the stock saddle.

I bought a Yamaha FG151B with too high action. The maker had, I suppose, tried his best to reduce the string height by lowering down the saddle. That made the breaking angle of the strings between the bridge and the saddle to be too low. I believe that by increasing the breaking angle would improve the sound quality, so I bought this bone saddle and replaced the original one (But I was surprised that the original saddle on this Yamaha guitar IS a bone one too). I adjusted the truss (learning to do that) and changed a new set of strings. Hope that would bring about some thing.Since the original saddle on my guitar was a bone one, I don't notice any difference after replacing with this buffalo bone saddle. But I am puzzled why this "bone" material seems to be so soft. When I used a fine sand paper to correct the upper curve, it eroded away like chalk. Is not "bone" should be something harder? Or is it really bone?

After hearing the difference this saddled made in tone and sound quality, i'll never use anything else. I endedup buying two for some inexpensive guitars and now have some amazing sounding instruments.

Great seller, great part, had to trim the ends a touch to fit my gibson B25 otherwise spot on.

It was too big for my guitar but since it is bone I was able to sand it down for a perfect fit.
