These caps are good for covering top post terminals on car batteries, however they are somewhat wider than a typical top post terminal. So you will have some play and not a snug fit over the terminals, however they will do the job to cover and isolate the terminals preventing arcing. Anyway I would overall say these will be very handy to have in your car's trunk or in your garage if you want to disconnect your battery and cover one or both terminals for maintenance such as battery cleaning or replacement!

Caps are to large for normal car battery. They get knocked off and do not stay on. .Back to using electrical tape. Would only recommend if the battery is sitting somewhere with no movement or nothing knock the caps off.. then again, what would be the point of having a cap as the purpose was for transportation while camping.
