Your cart is empty.Weld these steel nuts into a predrilled hole to provide a strong and easy method of bolting brackets or accessories to chassis. Nuts are often used when the back side of a fastener in not accessible and they allow quicker installation and/or removal of chassis components.

Machining is good, and the part has plenty of meat for easy welding. The threading is clean, and works as expected. If you are looking for a solid part that saves some fabrication time and the need to tap your own threads these just might be for you.

I used them in a 2000 TJ for the skid plate. OD is 1/2in. Welded right in. Worked great.

Being a machinist, I could easily make (4) 1/2-13 threaded inserts for less than $3 so these are really overpriced but seeing how I have other repairs on my agenda, this became more of a time saver than anything else.Would I ever buy these again? Probably not seeing how cheap I can make them when I have the time to do so. Basically, it would cost me $0.70 per threaded insert to machine and a little bit of my time in case you were wondering how bad you're getting ripped off!The insert dimensions are as follows...Collar OD - 1"Length - 1.25"Insert OD = 3/4"Thread Pitch = 13tpi (1/2")

If your looking at these you need weld on nuts for a project. Sure you could just weld on a nut and avoid the cost of these, but if it will show and you want a nice finished look, you need these. These are excellent in fit and finish and exceeded my expectations

As a machinist I could tell after pulling them from the package that they were well made low-carbon steel, duburred and everything! I bought these to weld them into the frame of my 1993 Jeep YJ after the skid plate/crossmember bolts broke following a transmission swap. There's a lot of material to tack welds on to, the threads were all clean, and they came with a thin coating of oil still on them preventing rust.
