We used this universal fit hose when the new hose we purchased from a local retailer was too short. This hose does not have a spring inside the tube where the coolant would flow which is a good thing. Rather it has ribs that are re-enforced that prevent the hose from collapsing. My son and I were able to flex the hose from the lower radiator opening to the water pump and go around the AC compressor. It easily flexes and forms to the shape you need and once secured in place, it will hold it's shape.

It was the perfect size for connecting the pond pump to the waterfall pipe, and I believe it will tolerate the Texas heat without blowing off and causing loss of water and fish. The other hose I had blew off the waterfall pipe twice in one week, and I lost my King Kong, a beautiful gold fish that was 18 inches in length and about 5 lbs. The pond had been his home for several years.

It's a hose. Buy it if you need it. the ends do have a little bit of room to rim if need be. not a lot though, maybe 2" total.

Fits like a charm on my sbc in my 3rd gen firebird. Lower 1.75" and upper 1.5" . Looks and feels durable. It is very difficult to compress the hose, but it is also flexible. Only time will tell the durability.

Any body building a 1982-93 Chev S10 truck using a champion rad and short water pump, this fits perfectly. Lots of folks, me included have spent hours researching trying to find a lower rad hose. I hope this helps any S10 builders out there, buy this one and you will be happy to see the quality and fitment.
