Retainers bolt to the housing ends to retain the axle/bearing into large bearing Ford 9" housings. Steel retainers are 3/16" thick and designed to fit over axles, eliminating the need to remove bearing from axle, making them ideal for use with Allstar Performance cut to fit axles.

I had bearing binding issue with the Set 20 bearings and the factory retaining plate. This retainer has a larger inside diameter that doesn't bind against the seal on the set 20 bearings. It makes it easier to press the bearing and install since you can slip this on after the axle is in the housing.

Great
