I bought this because it does both wet and dry or so I thought. I tried doing cranberry sauce and the juice just started running over and out. I tried to return telling them liquids was coming out (never told her what I was grinding but my response was: “This is a grinder and not a blender. Wet means you can make chutneys or grind onions etc in it but you cannot use it to blend liquids in it. We will take back the grinder only if it is in a brand new condition including the product, box and packaging etc.” seller is a complete smart butt and the product is not worth 2¢ as a wet grinder. Didn’t use after that. Will get the one I had before this one that actually is a wet/dry grinder with a seal. I loved the idea of separate bowls but apparently you can’t get one of these that actually seals the liquid, my bad smarty. But I’ll never order another of your products. And know it’s not a “wet” anything if thick cranberry sauce comes through! But you didn’t bother to find out. Awesome customer service (sarcasm)

I use the wet grinder to make garlic ginger coriander paste; I had bought this product for this specific purpose and am very happy with the result. Have to add very little water and I don’t run it for long duration. I run it for 10 to 15 seconds and pause and add some more water if/as required. The chutney comes out just the way I want it to be! The stainless steel quality is very good and upon cleaning the container does not hold smell. Price effective helper in kitchen; I love it!

Very nice and stylish - looks good on the kitchen counter. Having two bowls is very helpful - one for the coffee and one for the spices. I have not tried grinding wet stuff yet because I think the cleanup will be a bit messy. The motor may not have the power to grind ice and other harder food but I have not tried it.

The motor stops after very little time due to what seems to be overheating. So it works well ONLY if you use very small quantities. If you try to grind when its bowl is half full or more, it will stop before the grinding is done - the motor is not strong enough to complete the task. Or, you have to stop every few SECONDS (not minutes) to allow it to cool down. Maybe I have a defective motor, but this is not useful unless you are using it for minuscule quantities. Pity is it does fantastic job when it is grinding !

I have used this frequently for wet and dry grinding from chopping herbs, spices and small amounts of veggies to making hazelnut butter or chopping chocolate. It get's used almost daily, It does a decent job and I like the grinder. I used the Cuisinart grinder before, didn't do as good of a job but once the plastic on the bowl wears down, they all will have this happening eventually. I know you need to replace the bowls eventually. I sent away twice replacement bowls for the cuisinart grinder just to find the bowls they kept shipping will not ever fit the grinder because they had a different connector. When I bought the Alpine grinder last year I selected this model because they were also selling replacement bowls. Having used it so frequently for oily nuts the plastic on the wet grinder bowl went faster bad. It started leaking and the plastic slowly broke apart. I knew they won't last forever, that's why I picked the model with the replacement bowls. Now I come back and I can't find the replacement bowls, not on Amazon, not online. Where can I get them now? I choose this model because I don't want to always have to buy a whole new grinder set-up. Please bring back the replacement bowls.

This has been a great purchase. The fact that it can do both dry and wet grinding makes it much more useful in the kitchen. I've ground everything from spices and cocoa nibs to shallots and herbs. Used it to make a small batch of chimichurri. Easy to clean. The only complaint I have is that I wish there was an easier way to store it all as one piece. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

The product makes weird noise during the grinding of nuts. It shuts down after about one batch of grinding almonds.

I used it less than ten times, bought it specifically for grinding garlic and ginger. It smells like the rubber is burning, and I don’t even grind it for more than 40 seconds! Anyways it’s done now and won’t start, very very very disappointed.
