I needed extra spinal protection after two surgeries (unrelated to riding). I am 5’8†165 pounds. I ordered a medium to wear under my Icon jacket. I removed the D3O back panel from the jacket to keep its fit, which worked well. The waist belt can be raised or lowered via Velcro bindings on the rear. I left mine in the factory position so it doesn’t interfere with the back brace I wear when riding. For my size and height the factory waist belt position was perfect in terms of positioning the side plates for rib protection.Overall this version is a bit pricey at $200 but considering the consequences of an impact without it, it’s a steal. I am always paranoid of getting rear ended by a texting teen at stoplights.If you can afford it, I recommend 100%. Hope this review was helpful. Stay safe out there!

Great spine protector. I use on the track under leathers, and under my airbag jacket on the street. So comfy, you forget it’s there, except, the extra spine support keeps your back from getting near as tired in ling touring days across the desert. A no brainer. What are u waiting for?

Bought this to solely to wear under my A* track suit and ended up removing my insert for my street Dainese jacket and now I use this all the time. Size chart was spot on and this thing disappears on me once it’s on. I don’t even think about it.
