These patches work great, are slightly larger than the little round joke ones, and come with a generous amount of rubber cement. To use, scuff the tube with sand paper, apply thin film of cement, allow to dry, and only then apply a patch. Pound the patch with your fist, paying attention to the edges. Done. They come in a large foil sheet and have a paper backing. Do not bother to remove the thin paper backing, it causes no issue and doesn't matter once it's in your tire. Trying to remove it will only peel up the edge of your patch job, and serves no purpose. These patches are so good I even use them to patch holes in my tubeless tires. When I get home after using bacon strips, if I don't trust the field repair, I pop the tire off in that location, clean it with alcohol, allow it to dry, scuff with sandpaper and apply cement and a patch. I have repaired many tires this way and now accept "donated" tires my friends have given up on.Finally used up all 48 patches and am coming back here for more!

Although there are plenty of them, the rubber patches are a bit small and the tire repairs feel flimsy.

I had to fix several holes in my air mattress that over time it just starts to crack with holes. After two replaced mattresses, I had to find something else OTHER THAN SUPER GLUE THAT ONLY MAKES THE PROBLEM WORSE BECAUSE WHEN SUPERGLUE HARDENS, IT HAS EDGES THAT WILL JUST IN A FEW DAYS TEAR HOLES AND SLITS NEXT TO IT CAUSING MORE PROBLEMS. This patch kit is just what I needed. Although I could not find the last hole in my last mattress, and I was too lazy to fill it up at the swimming pool to find it, I tried this option. I was able to fix several holes. One side of the patch is sticky, and the other side has some strange wax paper that I could not remove so it is part of the design whatever I applied it to in this case a plastic air mattress. I would recommend this product for patch work because the glue lasts with needing just a little bit. I know it says to wait for the glue to dry before applying the patch, but I would cheat and let it dry about 90% then apply it. Seemed to be okay as it patched up my dozen holes. I mistakenly bought superglue and wasted alot of money on that. Again, I would recommend use for plastic air mattress repair.

I've used four of these already, and each of them have worked just as described. The instructions are pretty difficult to follow on the back of the box, but they've been outlined here pretty well. In short:Find the hole, and lightly scuff the area around the hole using the included tool.Place a thin layer of rubber cement on the scuffed area, slightly wider than the area of the patch.Let the rubber cement dry.Cut out one patch, leaving the plastic film on the outside the patch (giving is slightly more protection).Peel away the foil part from underneath the patch, being careful not to touch the orange layer with your fingers.Apply the patch to the dried rubber cement area. Begin on one side, and roll it onto the the tube until it has been applied.Press firmly across the patch, and try to roll any air bubble out of the patch. Use a ball point pen as a roller.

PROS:Price seemed fair and they arrived on time.CONS:They didn't stop the leak, the instructions were in broken English, and the backing didn't peel off.

Bought it because my son's bike inner tube needed to be patch. So I did and next day was working good. Was easy to use.

I was eager to get these patch. The price is amazing and they look fairly well made. HOWEVER - these are probably as crappy as you can get for tire patch. Why? These have flaky paper backing that you peel off after the patch is applied to the tube. That flaky peel-off paper backing doesn't peel and it becomes a mess because most of it will still be stuck! So, frustrating. Also, when you peel, it also lifts the edges off of the rubber tube, even if you spread the glue well past the edges of the patch! Anyway, I had to put two patches off for a pinch flat (when you get a pinch flat, it's usually two opposing holes on opposite sides of the tube). They don't seem to be holding air as air is still leaking somewhere and it's a really slow leak. My tire goes flat pretty much overnight. I do not recommend these. Look for patches that have the traditional clear plastic peel backing.I posted the images of the applied patch. In addition, I provided an image of a round patch that was applied years ago from another patch kit. That one is so nice compared to what you get from this Alta patch kit. In the photos, you can see the mess that the flaky paper makes and how bad the patch actually looks like on a tube. I've patched tubes so many times. This patch is the absolute worst!Update: May 5th, 2022-----------------------------I really want to give a positive feedback for this patch kit by patching up another tire that had a pair of pinch holes. However, each patch is just horrible. It's impossible to peel off the paper backing and it's just a mess! Even the tire I patched in the initial review above, it's a mess and the tire cannot hold air overnight, let alone real heavy usage on rooty and rocky trails. If I can give a zero rating, this would be an absolute ZERO rating for this product. Do yourself a favor and get a good patch kit that sticks to the tube and one that has the thin clear plastic backing that peels off cleanly. The quantity of this for the price is so enticing but I threw the rest of the remaining patches in the garbage. The glue I kept because it's the only good thing out of the box. Again, ******DO NOT BUY******
