They bent on the first go because the plates to support the main metal piece slipped out of place while trying to bolt it in and was not noticed. These weird rectangle washers should be welded to the steel support. Kid got on the bike and it bent straight away. Ended up teaching the kid to use two wheels without training wheels after all. Now its just scrap metal in my garage.
