Sizing is pretty accurate to other brands. They fit really good however very flat. I almost immediately switched the insole to a memory foam with high arches and that solved all of my comfort issues. I used these when I ran on the back of a garbage truck. Very comfortable and light. Great traction for all road surfaces but struggle on loose dusty surfaces and these are useless in mud but that was expected. The soles have worn and tore up a little quicker than expected but not unreasonably. The uppers have shown almost no wear besides stains. I would probably get a different color because these are a lighter gray and picks up stains very easy. All around great shoes and will get another pair (black multicam next time)

These shoes have a unique combination of good features that make it one of a kind. It looks great, wears well both casually and as a work shoe, and is designed to drain water well, and slip into swimming fins.Appearance: Slick take on classic chucks or converse sneakers.Sole: Nonslip, very grippy on wet or smooth surfaces. The material and tread pattern tends not to pick up/wedge small rocks or pebbles that end up making scratching noises on pavement or scratches on flooring. There is a strong abs shank that supports your foot while climbing ladders. The shank is curved enough to provide support even on caving ladders. It also makes your footfalls very quiet.Body of the boot: The main body of the boot has a thick breathable mesh that quickly wicks moisture and two well placed drainage holes covered with a strong mesh. The boot doesn't squish or squeak as much as the chucks did when first coming out of the water.Possible downside for noise discipline: Depending on how tightly you wear the shoes and how much your ankle flexes with your gait, the mesh tends to make a brushing/squeaking sound when the top of the ankle area of the boot compresses and rubs against the tongue of the boot while walking. This sound has decreased over time as the shoe "broke in" but is still there. This will tend to be more problematic if your ankles are thinner (and more of the tongue of the boot rubs against the mesh in the heel area. This sound isn't noticeable when walking around in public, but you can definitely hear it in a quiet room or when walking outside at night. You could avoid this altogether by getting the low cut version of these same shoes.

I've only had these for a day, and they're already my favorite shoes. I'm a lifelong fan of Converse Chuck Taylor's All Stars, so I jumped at the chance to pick up a pair of combat-ready Chuck's.I normally wear 10.5, but per other reviews got 11s, and they fit perfect. Threw some thin insoles inside for wear with socks, and they're good to go. The stock insoles are a maritime type meant to he worn without socks, so keep that in mind.Build quality is excellent, material and stitching looks good, and there's just the right amount of padding where it's needed. Everyone knows 500d Cordura is tough stuff, so I don't see it tearing anytime soon. Decent arch support, too... which was a pleasant surprise considering Chuck's have none. The outsole has chunky lugs that provide plenty of grip on most terrain. The black rubber seems a bit glossy, but I'm sure that will subside with wear. I haven't had a chance to wear them in water yet, but the design seems to be perfect for this application... with drainage positioned at the balls of your feet, simply walking will allow water to be squeezed out. The drainage position also keeps the outsole from splitting at the balls of your feet, a common issue on standard Chuck's.Overall, I can't find anything to complain about, except now I want another pair in Multicam!

I just recently received my shoes and i'll start off with, depending on brand, i'm usually a 10.5. I went ahead and ordered a size 11 and they fit great. Just the right amount of toe room and no issues with being tight. Before i got these, i've been wearing Salomons for my work shoes (private security in florida) and the biggest issue i've had with the salomons have been weight and heat. I just put the Altama's through 19hrs of working mostly on my feet and i'm very impressed. Do they feel like you're walking on clouds? Not exactly. The inner sole is pretty solid compared to most shoes but it's not uncomfortable after long periods of time. They are extremely light weight compared to my Salomons and my feet don't get nearly as hot/sweaty when wearing the Altama's. I do wish they made a high top version though. I definitly think there could be more ankle support put into these, especially because on ocassion, the top edge of the ankle will pinch or dig into my ankle. The laces could be a bit stronger or more solid, they seem a bit cheap. All in all though, i'm very pleased with the investment and may even consider replacing my every day boots with the multicam altamas.

Good fit and comfy. I just wear for short distances though as not used to walking in converse style shoes. Although these have more support than converse. They have some arch support but I put an insoles in too. Very nice.

It's a great product, very comfortable, good looking, durable and the rubber sole has good grip. it's a 2nd pair in succession.I thought I ordered and the photo shows a low cut model, but received mid-cut instead. It is ok, I don't really mind - It has good ankle support, I just need to put on ankle or longer socks.
