I bought a similar product from another manufacturer and it didn’t attach securely to my Hero 12. It was so bad that I ordered the MAXCAM within 30 minutes if receiving the other product. The MAXCAM has a secure hinge that actually clips on to the Hero 12 securely. I have no worries about the MAXCAM door disconnecting from the Hero 12 when I open it. The door will only come off if you intentionally take it off. And the small access door for the USB-C power cord is easy to operate. And out also stays closed when you close it. The only drawback is that the MAXCAM is not waterproof or dust proof. But the manufacturer doesn’t claim that it is. This is a very well made product for the price. I’m very happy with it.

When I first tried to install this cover on my GoPro 9 Black - it didn't fit. After a comparison to the OEM cover - I discovered that it was bent - or that it needed to be bent back in so it would clip into the bottom. Once I did that - it fit OK. But we all know that once you start bending metal parts - it gets weaker and is prone to breaking. But it works for now and I'll keep it rather than go to the hassle of replacing it.

I ordered this for my GoPro Hero 11 to eliminate the annoying requirement of opening the entire battery compartment to plug in the USB-C cable. Despite reviews stating otherwise, this door was very simple to install and closes up securely. The small port for the USB-C cable is easy enough to open and snaps shut. It looks like a factory accessory (and frankly should be a factory feature).Two points to remember: 1) THIS DOOR IS NOT WATERPROOF, and 2) the little port is not spring loaded so it flops around, which is mildly annoying. That said, it is an accessory that is well worth the small cost if you want to connect your USB-C cable to the camera with greater convenience. It’s also easy to swap back to the factory panel if you decide to later on. To have a more watertight camera.

I purchased this USB charging pass-through door with high expectations, hoping it would allow me to charge my GoPro HERO13 during extended shoots without compromising its durability. Unfortunately, this product ended up being a disaster.Major Flaw – NOT Waterproof: Despite the description clearly stating that the side cover "cannot be waterproof," I underestimated the severity of this issue. The slight gap in the closed part makes the camera extremely vulnerable to water damage. A brief exposure to water during use completely ruined my GoPro.False Sense of Security: The design makes it seem like the cover will protect the camera during light exposure to water or moisture, but that’s not the case. If you’re using your GoPro for any activity where it might get wet, DO NOT rely on this product.Expensive Consequence: My GoPro was destroyed because of this flaw, and now I’m left with the significant cost of replacing it. A product designed specifically for a rugged action camera should prioritize protection against water damage, not compromise it.Small Positives but Ultimately Not Worth It: While the pass-through feature is convenient for charging and the partial cover prevents debris from entering the data interface, none of that matters if the camera is rendered unusable from a splash of water.Unless you’re absolutely certain your GoPro will never come near water while using this door, avoid this product at all costs. It’s not worth the risk or the potential damage to your expensive gear.

Indispensabile per chi deve usare la GoPro con l'alimentazione o con degli accessori collegati alla presa USB.Ovviamente con questo accessorio inserito si perde l'impermeabiltà .Costruito in metallo e sembrerebbe ben costruito.
