I was impressed with the pristine condition and packaging of this wire. It has two heavy cable ties to keep bound. I cut one and left the other to restrain the remaining coil. I've bought other armature wire and those came in a basic wrap, was not polished. I use this wire in many different ways other than just armature. Very pleased.

Very good for jewelry making, but I bought this to use as armature for an art doll. The wire’s a little too flexible for that. Keep that in mind and you’ll be fine.

With tools it is easy to manipulate. Not easy to bend with just fingers.Only used once so far. Scars with tool teeth. Easy to sand and smooth.

This item is very useful. It comes neatly coiled with zip ties holding it together. So far, I just left the ties on and slipped the wire I needed out from under them. Mine had maybe two spots that were a little bent and a few little places in the wire that had imperfections (very small and you can see in the photo). Other than that, it came in great shape. I’d say it is a good amount of wire and good quality for money. As with anything, if you overbend it (such as you form a shape with it and then change your mind a number of times) or if you make a sharp bend in it, it will be difficult to get it into a smooth shape again. I was going to wrap a stone with it but didn’t have a larger enough one on hand so I used a marble to experiment as you can see in the photo. I haven’t had a change to use it for other things so far. I like how my marble turned out. I have it as a light pull in my living room now. I have never used any product like this before. The marble is my first creation and it took me maybe 5 to 10 minutes (which included my being picky about its shape and readjusting the wire a bunch of times.) The two things I dislike a little about this wire is first that the color is difficult to perfectly match. I took pictures comparing it to various different shades of gold and silver (and some black) so you could get an idea of the true color of it (a dime is in there too and it was the best match). It is a much lighter shade than a standard keychain’s silver color. The second is that they can be misshapened easily. This is actually an update to my original post. I've had the marble hanging as a light pull for some time and I noticed if I pulled on it the wrong way I would stretch the wire out a little so that is something to be aware of when you think of how to use it. It is very easy to bend and use. I know I mentioned above that you cannot get it straight if overbent but when making the marble one I did adjust it a lot (too much since I was getting perfectionistic to a degree) and it did just fine. That is because I had it coiled the entire time and was just adjusting the size of the coils if that makes sense. I didn’t bend it sharply like you would if you shaped it into a square (you would make four sharp bends at each corner). It can get damaged by any sort of pliers so be careful. It does not break easily but can be scratched or nicked. In conclusion, good stuff. I’d say worth buying. I am excited to use it for different projects. Though I may search for a thinner option as well.

Je l'ai utilisé pour faire des armatures de pâte à sucre. Juste parfait, prend bien la forme, se coupe facilement, se plie facilement et surtout garde la forme. Assez léger pour ne pas déformer le gâteau.

As I felter I use this wire to create armature frames for figures. Its easy to manipulate yet strong enough to hold up to the manipulations as you create your project.
