This was a gift shipped directly to our daughter away at college. She was absolutely delighted and said it's better than she anticipated. The quality of materials and workmanship is excellent, and she especially likes the fact the aluminum edges are on all four sides. This board is extremely lightweight and has the smooth finish an artist requires. We passed on a similar drawing board half this size and of lesser quality, yet at twice the price, from our local storefront retailer.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the board is hard to clean. The pastels I used get in there and make a real mess. Other than that, it's perfect.

It arrived damaged, the wood broken on 2 of the corners. I kept it because it serves its purpose but I like things that are made to last, good quality this is very flimsy.

I actually use this as a portable jigsaw puzzle board because I hate the felt ones and the usual non-felt puzzle boards were way too expensive. This was a cheap and easy solution that ended up working really well for me.

It is a good light weight drafting board. However, it is light weight because it is hollow, and a bit fragile. Somehow my 10 year old significantly dented one side, right in the middle of the board. So, be very protective of this board.
