For my purpose (backyard mechanic) I needed a non-reactive bottle to put all kinds of fluids in. Whether that be gasoline or brake fluid - this thing fits the bill. It's lab grade which is nice and I'm glad to have it. I like the fact that I can pretty much put anything in here and it will be non-reactive with it. That's a great peace of mind.

A bit pricey, but superb quality.

I really liked this jar, it was extremely durable, the glass was nice and thick, and I felt like it was a good value for the money. I tried to use it for mouthwash, as I don't like using plastic bottles, it did OK on the initial leg of our trip, but leaked on the way home. Tried it after we got home to see if maybe it was just pressurized from the plane, but it leaked on my countertop laying it on its side. It didn't feel like it would break easily, like a lot of the jars and containers do that I've purchased on Amazon. I also liked that it was a larger size, which made it way more functional as a travel container. Disappointed, but would actually be willing to try it one more time, because I feel as though it had a lot of potential. So just try it for yourself, hopefully it works better for you.

These are great jars, but I work with nearly pure ethanol, so sealing and evaporation are a major factor for me to consider. The seals on these jars are all plastic. I have to screw the lid down very tight for it to seal.I don't know if the plastic seals will hold up over time, but I doubt it.
