I was a lighting professional for 10 yrs, these are well designed clamps that can last years. Great value!

These do exactly what they are made to do, and do it well. The only drawback to these is that they WILL carve up and dent your truss if you frequently setup and tear down your rig. O clamps are slightly more expensive, but are worth every dime if you want to prolong the life of your truss in a mobile or non-permanent setting.

This is a great clamp. It's amazing how something so simple can be so poorly engineered, as in the case of the Chauvet equivalent (CLP-02). Let's A-B the two:The ADJ clamp bolt is aimed directly at the elbow on the other side, ensuring that the bolt is always perpendicular to the pipe you're clamping to regardless of the pipe size. This is actually not the case with the Chauvet clamp, which is offset slightly to the elbow, which causes a force on the bolt and threads perpendicular to the bolt direction, and causes the bolt to walk around on the pipe as you're clamping down. The ADJ bolt knob is very comfortable to crank down. The Chauvet one is sharp and digs into your skin. The ADJ fixture bolt is short and comes with a flat washer AND lock washer. The Chauvet fixture bolt has no washers and is actually too long to use with 2" truss as the bolt sometimes bottoms out on the truss. (The ADJ clamp also gives itself a little more room for the fixture bolt by not putting it directly under the pipe you're clamping to. So keep in mind your fixture will hang some distance in front of or behind the pipe (unlike an O-clamp)).

I bought 4 of these clamps. They are for my 2 relay packs to plug my lights in. When they got here the box was a little heavy. I pulled them out and they were huge. I thought they were the heavy duty clamps. I went and put them on my truss. They were very easy to use. I screwed the bolts to my relay packs and they held them up very well. One thing I also liked about these is the screws don't have nuts to them. They just screw into the already threaded holes on the clamp.

You can crank down on these and not deform as the steel is thick and tough. The backside mount hole is in the right place. I've tried other clamps in price range and found them to flex and IMO are dangerous. Unfortunately there is a downside to these, it is the threads in the body. They are often loose, and are not deep enough to hold the bolt in alignment. When one gets too sloppy I weld a nut to the outside, but do you all have a welder? On the other hand the real solution is to buy a real light clamp for a far greater price. You get what you pay for. I use them as they fit the bill for my needs and I can repair them as they are a solid piece of steel.

I read different reviews and some say its a 3/8 x 16, some say 3/8 x 20 which doesn't seem to exist. Some say 3/8 x 24. Strange thing is the clamps I own are not 3/8 at all!!!The fixture bolts are M10 x 1.50. The standard length is 20 mm. For some of the larger yokes that I own I use 30mm length. These clamps hold lots of weight and some of the reviews seem to say like 10 or 20 pounds. These things hold well beyond that. They are rated for 100 pounds!I think some of the AMAZON reviews are mixed up with another product!

Typical clamps that is very sturdy. I use them for LEDs but I think they can handle a bit more weight. The clamp is easy to attach and remove which is a plus for me as my rig is portable. I may not be the best for light gauge metal rigs as it dents them but that depends on the weight of the light too.

I ordered a different brand from Guitar Center. Only ordered 4 but needed 2 more. This time I ordered from Amazon and was impressed. Cost me less and was way more heavy duty.I highly recommend them and like everything ADJ it's quality.
