Over all, I believe this is a good strobe light, its economically friendly and very portable..its about the size of my hand. No duty cycles, it runs all night..3 year warranty from ADJ when you register your product (50,000 hour LED life) I'm definately going to order another one

This was a tiny little thing. I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this mini me strobe light. It served it's purpose well and worked as it should, so no real complaints from me, but for the price, I was expecting a little more. I had it set up in an open back yard for a Halloween party and had it focused on a certain scene and the effect was as desired.

I purchased this in 2012 and I'm writing this review in 2023. While I wouldn't say I use this frequently, I had purchased it for college parties and it saw quite a lot of use for several years (at most around 20-30 times/year, kept on for something like 5-10 hours at a time). These days, I only pull it out for Halloween or the like, but it still works as well as it did 11 years ago.It has no on/off switch, only a knob in the back that controls the speed of the strob. The "on/off switch" is plugging it in, so I'd recommend plugging it into something with a switch, like a power strip or surge protector; the cord is fairly short too, maybe only three feet or so in length, so you'll probably need an extension cord of some kind anyway.The handle thingie can be used either to mount on the ceiling or as a kickstand on the floor or on a flat surface of some kind. Mine was pretty loose and the slightest bump would point it in another direction - simple fix to tighten the screws that hold it on of course. A wing bolt might have made it more convenient, so if you have one in the right size lying around in an old folger's can somewhere, it would be a good thing to use it for.The strobe light worked exactly as I wanted and expected for college house parties and beyond. I didn't need or expect professional quality at the $25 price point, though I think I did expect something a little bit more than what I got. In the end, I think I got enough use and enjoyment out of it that I'm not all that bothered by the price.

Super Nice for the such Low price!Nothing wrong wrong with the light, my 12 year old son uses it often and the darn thing does not give up.Careful, the Light can damage your eyes, its quite powerful.

The classic strobe light (in my opinion) is the old Radio Shack model. With that strobe, you could create very cool effects for Halloween displays.The problem with this LED strobe is two-fold: (1) the LED bulbs light up and fade slower than a true strobe bulb so you don't get the classic strobe feel and (2) the strobes are actually done two at a time rather than one so the strobe is disjointed. I don't know how to explain all of this other than to say there are two quick flashes of light with subtle hints of the the light coming on and shutting off, and then a delay followed by two quick flashes of light with subtle hints of the the light coming on and shutting off followed by a delay, and so on. It just doesn't look or feel like a true strobe.I gave the unit two stars because it does appear well-constructed and it's cheap.

Very very week strobe - can bearly be seen at all. You get what you pay for. Shop around before you buy cheap stuff like this!

I love the use in combination with my other dj lights and it works very well .... I like it because it is small but very powerful .... its light is completely white and has a speed control that works very well .... I recommend

As others have noted this is NOT a classic strobe, it has a light burst time that is noticeably longer and so it is impossible to get the same stop-motion effect that you get with a classic strobe. However to get a reasonable 'classic strobe' you are looking at >$100 and that was overkill for my needs (kids disco). At this price point the choices are very low quality xenon tube flashes which you are lucky to have last beyond the first extended use (I have had a couple of these and they aren't worth it) or an LED unit like this which will last longer and provides plenty of light for a darkened basement disco or equivalent. This will work to provide night time strobe effects to a front porch at Halloween, it will not work to illuminate an event hall or front porch during dusk. To get best stop-motion effect reduce the flash frequency to less than the maximum, so that the eye adjusts to total darkness before the next flash. Once plugged in it will start flashing so either you need to be okay with that or monitor it or plug it into a simple timer. Overall, worth $20 if you know what you are getting, not worth much more.

I ordered this twice, first one DIDN'T WORK. However, Amazon handles returns on defectives seamlessly. KUDOS AMAZON!!I got the second one. Works fine. We'll see how long it lasts. This year, I am setting this up to avoid raccoons and other pests setting up under my deck. THESE ARE THE BEST AT KEEPING AWAY UNWANTED GUESTS in a humane fashion. They can't stand the blinking lights. No kidding.Small cheap product but it works.

Por el precio esta muy bien, el unico inconveniente que le veo es que cuando se usa con un humo muy denso se pierde la luz y casi no se nota. Pero si se tiene con humo tenue y poca luz se ve bien y otra cosa buena es que si por accidente volteas a ver directo a la luz no te deja tan ciego como uno ya grande. Es ideal para un cuarto pequeño.
