The ad said it came with a 36 pack of #3 crimps. What arrived was a 25 pack of #4 crimps which are too big. Too close to my trip to return/exchange in time. Luckily I found them local retail. But the whole point was not to have to drive somewhere. Also I agree with other reviews that the crimping pliers are painful to the hand to use, although for the price they are adequate

I am an avid fisherman and made several nice leaders with this but the thing i use it the most for is when i need to connect wire to something at the house. I have had the devil of a time with squirrels tearing up the bird feeders. The feeders were on Shepard's hooks which also created issues when mowing. So i made these long wire leaders and hung the feeders on limbs far out from the tree and high enough above the ground so the squirrels would not be able to jump either from the ground or limbs and the wire is too thin for them to climb down. Now the possums, raccoons and squirrels can't get to the feeders! When i mow, i cruise right under them. Bird feed last much longer, and problem solved!

Purchased this to make quick strike rigs for ice fishing and worked great. Plan to make leaders for open water fishing as well.Economical way to make my own gear, exactly how I want it.

Works ok for making your own wire leaders. However, the compression pliers are pretty thin and uncomfortable to use.Would not mind paying more for better quality pliers with cushioned handles.

The wire and the sleeves appear to be good quality however the wrong sleeves were in the kit so I was not able to make use of any of it.
