Arrived in a box with other items, had come out of its own box and was rattling around loose. No cover slips included. Low quality glass, lots of "noise" when you look at it under a microscope.

This hemocytometer is excellent and the grid lines are very distinct and easy to focus on. There was a bit of an issue with the coverslips, but the resolved this quickly and without any question. Great people to deal with and an excellent product you can use at a fair and reasonable price.

When package arrived, the sub-package with the hemocytometer was open and the part was rattling around inside. The promised microscope slides were not included. The hemocytometer itself is substandard. There are rows of counting cells that are supposed to be square but are rectangular. Take a look yourself at the picture. It can be worked around but, really?!? Makes me not trust that the volume is correct. We use these for students so the correct volume isn't that important but the rectangle part confuses the students.

I purchased this to replace an older Hemocytometer. The lines are much crisper on this plate than my old one. Was definitely worth the money. It did take a second order for the Amazon people to pack it correctly. The first one was loose in the box and had been damaged but got a replacement two days later. The packing was not the Sellers fault that was a packing problem at Amazon. Would highly recommend this to other Home brewers that like to have accurate counts on cells before pitching.

I bought and inspected the $12, and the $15 Hemocytometer. Both complete junk. This one however is decent for just a few dollars more. The grid is even, the glass is clear. Great slide for counting yeast cells. A lab quality Hemocytometer will cost at least $150-300. This is not lab quality, but fine for what I’m doing.

The product description explicitly says with coverslips. They were not included. This is deceptive marketing. Do not purchase.

This is no different from the budget models being sold for 30-40% less in other listings. It's poorly made, filled with scratches and defects, and the counting grid is poorly etched making it more difficult to achieve proper focus for counting than other models I've used. Also, the listing says it includes two coverslips, but none were included (noted as a problem in other reviews). Skip this model and either save money on the same thing or increase the budget for a higher quality one.
