Received these last week. I was happy with the quality and heft of the product. Put them in and went trail riding with my Brute Force 2 days later. Sadly an hour unto riding I noticed the bike pulling hard to one side. Got off and noticed that one of the new rods had bent quite a bit. Now I was riding on trails with large mud holes. I'm not sure if I somehow snagged something or if it was a defected product.Anyway, I messaged the company on Monday and by Thursday I had a brand new set at my door. I understand that every company is going to have some defects but the way a company stands behind their warranty and treats their customers is what makes or breaks things.I never had one issue with the company wanting to replace the part. They were actually very intrigued with the bent rod. I never wanted a full replacement set, that's what they gave me. Better yet, I didn't have to fight for the warranty! It was honestly no hastle.I now have about 20 miles on the new replacement set they sent me with ZERO issues. So I chuck it up as more than likely a faulty part. But I thank American Star for standing behind their warranty with exceptional service.

Fantastic upgrade over the OEM tie rods on a 2007 Brute 750i. They are beefy, quality made and no doubt stronger (and larger diameter) than stock (makes my 2015 OEM tie rods look like toothpicks almost). I wouldn't hesitate to go with American Star products on my ATVs, etc. Price is great as well for a necessary upgrade without paying for OEM parts that are less heavy duty! You won't be disappointed- unless you ride hard and aggressively, at which point I'd recommend their more high end tie rods.

I replaced a set of worn rods on a 2013 Brute Force 750 with these. They are much more robust than the rods I removed.I will say one thing to possibly help someone. In my package, I received four castle nuts, 4 cotter pins, and 4 jam nuts. The jam nuts, which go on the tie rod ends are two different colors. Two of them are silver and two of them are case hardened. The case hardened nuts were left hand thread. The tie rod end packages have ID stickers on them, but it is only model numbers on the stickers. Look at the threads and you'll quickly decipher right hand from left hand thread. Also, be sure to attach the tie rod to the machine with the wrench flat on the rod body oriented closer to the tire. Just some tips for anyone who has never done it. Lastly, be sure to accurately measure the rods you're removing and adjust the new rods to that measurement. Lock down the quad end of the rod, attach it to the steering knuckle, and install on the hub to get the proper angle, then tighten down the left hand thread jam nut. I hope it helps.

Fit perfect no adjustments needed like on regular tie rods. Already swamped it in huge rut. Tow strap had to be run across left front outlaw 2 tire. We just knew it would break. Nope, now that’s a stout tie rod.

1-25-18 UPDATEI called American star and the were happy to replace my tie rods at no cost, customer support was top notch, products do fail, its all about how the company handles the situation. while the ride could have been very bad, they did make it right.I installed these to prevent from bending the stock tie rods on my 2017 brute, i was about 10 miles into trails at hatfield, when the tie rod snapped off at the steering stem. Luckily i was going slow and didnt get hurt. i replaced it with the factory assembly that i carry as a spare. back on the trail and not 15 minutes later the other one snapped, again riding very slow thankfully. i had to clamp the two bad tie rods together to get out of the woods, luckily im a mechanic and was able to craft together a tie rod assembly or i would have been in trouble getting out of the woods, of course no cell service. Not to mention these jam nuts constantly back off and get loose.

Do not buy!!! I put these on my brute force and I was riding down a rock road about 15 mph and the ball joint part snapped clean off, I did a front flip n got a broken leg. I only had them in for about a month n a half n i don't ride hard or anything.
