Over a hundred years ago, the embossed metal panel was introduced to the United States as an alternative to the plasterwork brought over by Venetian artisans. The same quality product exists today: American Tin Ceilings uses only the original .010 gauge tin-plated steel representative of turn-of-the-century tin ceilings—never plastic or Styrofoam imitations.

Tin Tile Wall Application
Who would have thought that tin ceiling tiles would look great in lieu of paint or wallpaper! This customer used tin ceiling tile Pattern #2 in Silver Washed White as the focal wall in her kitchen. Installation on a wall is similar to a Backsplash: when installing onto drywall, use nails and construction adhesive, like Liquid Nails or Power Grab by Loctite. The nails will keep the panels tight to the wall while the adhesive dries. You can use any of our tin ceiling and tin backsplash tiles for wall applications.

Our tin ceiling tiles are the same .010 gauge tin-plated steel that is representative of turn-of-the-century tin ceilings. This premium grade material has a one-hour fire rating (Rated ASTM E 84-03b), and our customers have installed these decorative panels on ceilings, walls, wainscoting and more. Transform a space into a beautiful showpiece that features genuine tin tiles.
Note that Unfinished panels must be finished for rust prevention. See section above titled "How to Paint". Our color offerings—Silver Washed White, Brushed Satin Nickel, Bright White Satin—are powder coated and rust resistant, making them perfect for high-humidity areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and coastal climates. We offer Unfinished as an option for customers who want to paint the tin panels a custom color.

We did not use as ceiling tile. We used as back splash for kitchen on a motorhome update. Easy to hang, easy to cut. Love the light reflection.

Placed behind stove to protect wall. Looks beautiful, but got tarnished in a couple of spots. Don’t know why it happened.

This is a great product. I used this over fire-board behind wood stoves in our casitas (Spanish for guest houses). We needed to protect the plastered areas behind the stoves wanted something decorative but useful to cover the fire-board, which is ugly. The large tin ceiling panels did the trick. - they work beautifully with our Santa Fe Spanish style casitas. I sealed them with a protective clear coating, obtained some stainless steel tacks from the hardware store - applied construction adhesive to the backs first and tacked the panels in place. It work beautifully. I even was able to slightly bend the edges over the edge of the fire-board to hide it's edge. We're not completely done with our renovations. Once complete, I'll update this review with before and after pictures. Great product.
