About this item

  • Coiled nylon air hose for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications
  • Yellow nylon tube and cover for resistance to moisture absorption, abrasion, fatigue, and chemicals
  • Braided nylon reinforcement for strength
  • Temperature range of 32 to 120 degrees F
  • Two 1/4" factory-installed, brass male NPT swivel fittings with steel bend restrictors

The Amflo 4-50E-RET yellow nylon recoil air hose has a 1/4" ID and is 50 ft. long. Its tube and cover are made of yellow nylon for resistance to moisture absorption, abrasion, fatigue, and chemicals. Its braided nylon reinforcement provides the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 200 pounds per square inch (psi). It is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from 32 to 120 degrees F, and comes equipped with two 1/4" factory-installed, brass male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) swivel fittings with steel bend restrictors that reduce twisting and bending, increasing the life of the hose. This hose is manufactured as a lighter-weight alternative to bulkier rubber and plastic hoses for use in a wide range of industrial applications, such as manufacturing, auto repair, robotics, and others.

Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method: S = Size (ID, OD, and length) T = Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported) A = Application (industry or process) M = Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration) P = Pressure (maximum working pressure) E = Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose) D = Delivery method (volume and velocity)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.

Plews & Edelmann manufactures automotive and pneumatic hose, lines, reels, accessories, fittings, and lubricants under the Edelmann, Amflo, Omega, LubriMatic, and UltraLube brands. The company, founded in 1909, is headquartered in Dixon, IL.

I BOUGHT 6 OF THESE FOR MY SHOP ALL OF THEM HAVE BROKEN WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF USE. THE CHEAP PLASTIC BREAKS RIGHT AT THE FITTING. SPEND A BIT MORE MONEY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.

It works well for the small stuff I do around the garage. I like these coiling hoses and this was the cheapest one I could fine. Im a little worried the cheap plastic it seems to be made of will crack easily though

It does the job ok. If you need to work more than 25ft or so from your compressor, buy something else - this has such a stiff tight coil it'll pull a tool right out of your hand farther than that.

Amflo 4-50E-RET Yellow 200 PSI Nylon Recoil Air Hose 1/4X 50' When I got the hose and hooked it up to my compresser I pulled it out all 50 ft. It stood up to the extenion of the hose. It takes up a lot less room then a non Recoil air hose. The fittings that was sent with the hose were just what I needed to hook it up. This order was filled by AMAZON PRIME Thank you AAA++++++++++ What a good price.

Bought to replace a heavy gauge orange air hose and wish I had bought this years before.Doesn't get tangled, appears to be well made for home/personal use.Don't think it is tough enough to stand up to use in a commercial application; but, is great for occasional use at home.

Hose broke the first time I used it. I pulled it out and walked around car to air up tire. It seemed that the first time the hose contacted my car a loud air leak started. The plastic hose is very thin walled and probably only works when only pulled out for very short distances and in gentle use conditions.

Seals are awful . Leaks all the air right back out of tank the second you open the value to the hose.
