This is an off-brand, third-party replacement part. You already know you're getting lower quality materials than the OEM part. If it was just cheaper materials, this would be a five-star review.The bottom mounting hole, the one for the screw in the front of the refrigerator door, is inset at an angle and doesn't sit flush with the rest of the handle assembly. This causes the whole handle, when installed, to sit at the wrong angle. This clearly is a design issue and not a case of bad QA, because on reviewing the manufacturer's photos here on Amazon, the defect is present in their reference photo too. The handle is flexible enough that you can force it to bend to where you can screw it in the top of the refrigerator door. Over time, the force of the handle trying to return to its natural bend will probably damage the screw mounting holes of whatever door it's installed on.The handle is made of multiple parts fitted together at a seam. The seam is uneven and the burrs scrape your fingers as you operate the handle. You can probably sand this down in spots. I didn't, because the seams don't seem very sturdy and I didn't want to weaken them.The price is right, but the one mark of a good third-party part is it should self-contain its quality issues without damaging the unit it's installed onto. I'm not confident of that with this part.
