I have been searching high and low for a dog food mat that doesn't look filthy after my dog eats one meal, and actually covers the width of her dish tray. This has been great. After a variety of cloth mats, placemats, and floor mats, this is the right size and the right color to fit my kitchen and catch the messes that are made by the dog. The dog. It seems to absorb any spills from her water dish. It's easy to wash. And a great alternative. I'm certain that it's an excellent counter mat for appliances like the coffee pot or Keurig pot, but my appreciation is it in the functionality as a dog mat.

I bought this a while back and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. It looked great and worked well for a while but I didn't realize that water seeped through the mat and it got stuck to my counter top and ripped underneath. Not bad for the price but I would rather have something that won't do that again.

I found out about this mat from a new site that I subscribe to that curates various items including household appliances and gadgets. I was intrigued by the prospect of replacing a towel under my 3-in-one coffee maker which does shed water and coffee if one is not careful. The mat comes rolled up and took a while before completely flattening underneath our coffeemaker. However, looking at what I recall was the price on the review site and the price we have to pay in Canada, I believe I could have just purchased bulk matting from a big box store, and had it cut to the length I need.

It works! Making coffee: grinding beans, tamping and then refilling the tank etc gets messy. This mat is really helpful at reducing water splashing and dripping thus keeping water away from the spilled coffee grinds...
