I have used these panels before and like them for acrylic painting, but I was disappointed thatone end was dented and some of the white ground on which you could paint was coming off on one side. I still the panel but had to double-gesso the part with the missing surface paint. I think the panel should have been rejected as defective before they sent it to me.

I love the Ampersand line of panels. But they aren't available in New Zealand. The panels plus Amazon's great value shipping makes them the most inexpensive way to go. HOWEVER, putting 3 panels into a plastic bag...... By the time I received them, they were literally falling out of the bag (luckily they were all there), but the corners on each panel have been damaged.

This is a good panel and high quality. but it seems that the biggest problem comes with shipping it. the are solid but very fragile on the corners. whenever i order them i am bound to get a chipped one. not only from amazon. they should label this as fragile or just protect the corners. also the bigger the size the more it is prone to warping. so storing them vertically/ diagonally will result in some warping.

I love these panels. I use them for acrylic paintings. Nothing wrong with the panels except sometimes the corners get damaged in shipping. Some protective covering over all 4 corners would be appreciated. My latest board came with the two bottom corners slightly damaged. These boards are expensive and I don’t always frame them. A cardboard corner protector and some bubble wrap should be used in shipping. They just come with a cling film over it and in a standard shipping plastic coated envelope, which is OK. But the board is heavier than ordinary cardboard and needs those corners covered while en route.

I would not buy again. The corners of the wood panel were chipped.
