The slides are cover-slipped and preserved in cedar wood oil. They are premium, accurately stained and machine cleaned slides that will give a sharp image. All slides are carefully labeled for easy reference and are arranged in a fine crafted varnished wooden case with brass hardware.

I have seen a decent amount of negative reviews and i don't think they are warranted.I received 99 of the 100 slides. One missing, but no big deal for me, i am using these with a 6 yr old and 3 yr old and a recent microscope purchase.I am using a mid priced stereo microscope in the 150 dollar range. With this I have had no problem viewing any of these slides.Not being a biology major, i can say that i believe the slides are all of good quality and well prepared for my level of use. I think they would be of use to more advanced persons also.I have looked at about 30 of the slides. In all cases there is one of the sample items located at or very near the center of the coverslip. You may need to search a little for the smaller items. In short, the paramecium slide has 4 paramecium set in the center, each stained differently, red, green, and a brown making it easier to see different parts. The insect, daphnia, hydra, and penicillin were all easy for me to examine under various magnification and clearly visible. Earthworm is a section cut through the middle of a worm, stained and internal parts are identifiable.The storage box is wood, unfinished, well enough made for storage. Minimal padding but fine, as long as you don't drop it.

I like this set. Some of the zoological slides are themed...many frog and dog tissue samples. About half the slides (unlike some of the other sets) are botanical. The botanic slides also have some themes such as stems, leaves, pollen. It's nice to have some variety within a given concept to compare and contrast. I have Set A which is very interesting, however, I think for general study, this is a far better overview to get started with. So far no overlap between the sets. Sorry I don't have time to type in all 100 titles (which are printed on each slide). Maybe I'll get a chance to do that later.

I bought this along with a telescope for my 7yr old grandson's birthday. Since the party kept him busy, he didn't really get to check it out until his parents got him home that night. I'm sitting at home and get a text message with a picture of one of the slides with my daughter noting it was the 1st one he pulled out. (human sperm). Then a second picture (rabbit testicles). Next text - "What in the world did you get him??" We were all laughing so hard. I had tears coming down. I think my daughter and her husband had more fun just reading the labels all night. My grandson loves it!

A VERY nice set to explore the tiny world of cells and biology! Each slide is well prepared and saves me the time of preparing a slide, even IF I could get all the specimens that is given in this set!

there are too many and ggod collection of slides. i purchased four sets of prepared slides. in all collection some of them are the same. anyway it is the good collection for my lab classes to monitor tissues cells

I had bought the Amscope microscope that came with a few slides. My daughter loves it so I decided to get these slides as an addition as she’s still a bit young to prepare her own slides. She loves it and learns so much!

Coffret sympa mais emballage inexistant.Le coffret est arrivé dans son emballage d'origine et non scotché sur les côtés.Heureusement que personne ne s'est servi dans le paquet. Il est arrivé complet.N'importe qui voyez ce qui avait été commandé. Déception pour ma fille qui a vu immédiatement le contenu du paquet.Vraiment dommage.

Prodotto arrivato in un lampo. Bellissimi vetrini, tutti numerati e ognuno ha la spiegazione di cosa si tratta, c'è l'indice a parte (in inglese come anche le scritte sui vetrini), molto comodo per scegliere a priori quale guardare.
