they are very thin. I got them to hold can liners in place. I wouldn't trust them to hold larger bags but they work well for 1015 gallon liners

This bulk pack of rubber bands is mediocre at best. They are not thick and neither do they have much stretch. I had several break on me with minimal stretching.
