For such a simple product one would figure "how hard is it for them to screw up" well spend the extra $10 and get another brand.1. No instructions. Not a big deal but it would take the guesswork out of figuring which bit to drill through the bridge with and how much to countersink the screw.2. Screw for the retainer was not installed. Not a big deal but as it needs to get sized to your bridge.3. Drilled through by bridge and the screw was not catching the retainer. Pulled everything apart and attempted to thread the screw into the retainer and guess what it fell in. The screw did not catch at all and the retainer slot was the exact size of the screw. Attempted to fill the hole with wood shims which seemed to do the trick using another screw.4. Sized and installed the dowel only to find out that the set nut was just spinning in the wood threads and not provide the tension to remove the belly at the bridge.5. No abalone or black insert you get to look at a screw thread on your bridgeOrdered the product which is $10 more and ripped out this piece of crap. It came with the retainer pre installed thankfully it lined up with the hole I had already created, threads were useful, tension was adequate, job completed for the second time.

It's a cheaper knock off of the original. It worked in an inexpensive 12 string. No problem with installing it. The main difference with it vs the real on is the adjusting screw. It's screwed into the wood vice a Teflon insert on the more expensive one. While this one is adequate in most applications spending $10 more for the original US made one might be prudent.

Low quality. Screws easily stripped out. No instructions. Don't waste your time - spend the extra few bucks for a good one. The good ones work well.

This was my third purchase of this item, as fixing up old guitars hasw become a bit of a hobby.nstallation is straightforward, and it does the job it's meant to do flawlessly. If your guitar is lifting around the bridge and you're not driving a Martin, this is a great investment to save your favorite guitar.

First, No instructions came with the kit. Second, there's no cap to cover the hole in the bridge, so the screw into the top of the bridge is showing. Not a good look. Third, the screw that goes into the top of the guitar is screwed in with a hex wrench. The hole for the hex wrench in top of that screw immediately stripped when I screwed it into the plastic part. That makes it so you can't screw it in far enough. Luckily, I had a samed size screw that uses a philips head to screw it in. Now I have to use a hole punch to cut a cap to put over the screw. Luckily, I know what I'm doing with these things. Whoever threw this kit together didn't put much thought into it.

This item is junk. Flimsy and not strong enough to do the job

La compra y el envio fue algo sencillo y muy rapido la entrega, la calidad del producto dependera del tiempo que dure en la guitarra pero se ve que el producto tiene buena calidad

The first two I bought were not very good quality compared to the original JLD brand, both had to be glued so the screw in the nylon didn't pull though the wooden block as you tightened the screw from the top. The nylon sleeve where the rod sits and grub screw pushes it through had to be glued as well because as soon as you started applying pressure to the the grub screw the whole thing just rotated in the wooden block. To top it off the third one I ordered didn't even arrive and I had to apply to Amazon for a refund. Absolutely AVOID

It looks like it will work for what I want it for. It needs a fair bit of skill to install. Not as described but that`s a nudge and a wink I guess.

Llegó a tiempo y se ve bien hecho.Vamos a instalarlo. Gracias.Lo seguiré comprando con ustedes.
