In the picture is a cat named Penny. Penny needs to be brushed, but Penny doesn't like to be brushed. Until this one. I've tried a million different ones and she hated them all. She loves this one and will even come to me to be brushed (whereas I usually have to hold her down). It is small enough to get between her ears and doesn't tug on her coat. Her coat doesn't get matted, so if your cat is prone to matting, I'm not sure how this would work. My short haired cats love it too.

This brush looked like it’d work for my guinea pig, who has somewhat long fur. I guess it does catch some of the shedded fur, which is good. But it seems to be uncomfortable for him even when I’m super gentle. Maybe your guinea pig needs to have very long fur for this to work for them?

I’ve bought about 3 of these over the years for my short haired cat. It’s a great brush and removes a lot of hairs (hopefully reducing hair balls!). My cat loves it and will always end up and falling asleep afterwards after being groomed. They last a long time.. we just end up losing them :(

This is a replacement for the exact same one I bought nearly four years ago, shortly after I adopted Honey from a rescue charity. The first one was looking a bit shabby. I always use slickers which have tines with bobbles on the ends. This is big enough to be effective, but small enough to get down the under side of her tail and to do her ‘pantaloons’. It doesn’t get tangled up in her coat. It isn’t expensive, and I think it’s a great little gadget, and Honey enjoys being groomed with it!
