I bought the Andis ultra edge clippers with the #10 blade installed and purchased the kit of different length spacers. The #10 with spacers did not work on my dogs; it kept getting stuck. With this skip tooth blade, I no longer need the spacers, and it cuts through my dog's thick, tangled fur. The Andis trimmer, blades, and spacers are all high quality and worth the cost; you just need to use the right blade for your dog's type of fur. The #4 skip blade with Andis clipper works well with my dog's thick matted hair. I highly recommend it, as long as you get the right blade for your dog! I have 2 Wheaton terriers and a cockapoo.

Fantastic blade. I've been having issues cutting my dogs fur with a regular blade. After reading about the skip tooth blade I realized I been using the wrong blade the last few years. I have a golden retriever / border collie mix with pretty course hair. I original bought size 7 but it was a little too close to the skin for my dogs liking. Size 4 is perfect and his hair blends well with that blade; doesn't take so much off that he looks skinned or will get a sunburn. Size 4 skip tooth blade is just right.

I tried many type of blades for my standard poodle until someone told me of this type. I can now groom my dog and it leaves a great coat. Yet, I did drop my razor and the edge (the last tine) of the blade broke. It still works.

This actually works on our two labradoodles' curly fur. Highly recommend for these types of breeds.

I called Andis to get an advice how to trim my great pyrenees because my current trimmer always overheated. They told I was using a wrong clipper to trim any great pyrenees that i needed to buy a skip tooth blade. So i did and it works amazing! Btw, used three grooming ladies before and they all used wront blades!

I really like this blade, after reading the reviews I was nervous about cutting the dog, so I was extra careful and it was way easier than using the number 10 with a guard.

I have ordered this before with no complaints. This time, blade was dull straight out of the box. Made me wonder if someone had it before, shaved their filthy dog, cleaned it, stuck it back in the package, and returned it. It was that awful. Anyway I still buy this brand, just not from amazon. If I do again I will check it very carefully before I attempt to use it. I would have returned it but I had tried to use it for “four poodle feet” before finally throwing in the towel. Didn’t want to send it back in case they decided to mail it out to someone else as “new”. Buyer beware - check your blades!

I’ve quite a variety of Andis clipper blades now as I’ve always struggled with our dog’s fine downy hair. The original size 10 with metal magnetic guard kit takes hours to do him. I have to give him a break between sessions. But this time, after reading an article, I tried the No 4 skip blade which leaves a slightly rougher 9.5mm cut. What a difference. It glides through his fur so much easier. It’s reduced his cut time by half. Only downsides are it seams to heat up pretty quickly despite regular drops of oil and you can’t fit the Andis guards to it which means it’s a little bit sharp and is easier to catch him with. I soon got used to it though and with a little more care keeping his skin tight found it very easy compared to the standard No 10 blade that comes with the Andis Andis Ultraedge AGC Super 2 Speed

Works well. My dog is a Goldendoodle with thick hair and it cuts this well

This blade slices through my standard poodle's very heavy, curly coat and makes his grooming sessions a dream compared to before. I am glad that I purchased it.

My mom has a Spanish water dog and with the pandemic she had to groom her own dog. Turns out she is a natural and this glblade worked fantastic.
