We shore fish for rockfish in Northern CA. The rocks are super sharp, the lingcod have giant teeth, as do many of the other species we fish for. This line seems to be perfect. I bought the 40lb so I would not lose a fish easily, as you often have to hawg them out of holes and caves. As the line enters the water, I could not see it with my polarized sunglasses. it was a fairly sunny day.I think this is a great, all-around line for sport fishing and will be ordering more at different poundage for my other rods.

Did the job! Hung 6, 5ft bats from house to tree for Halloween!

I'm going to be honest, I got the purple purely for esthetics to go on my JigWorld Onyx rod and and Shimano Vanford c5000... because the only other combo that beats black and red is black and purple. The purple looks really great but the dye does run. When I was spooling i always put a little tension using a papertowl and there was a considerable amount of dye that rubbed off. We'll see how it does in the water but over all 10/10 for looks, feel, and strength; 5/10 for running color dye.

This purple braid looks good on a black reel. Prince would have definitely approve. I think he was an avid fisherman...anyways.. It is very thin line. I got 18lb test. I like that it is eight strands. I would recommend the heavier pound tests for a regular sized reel.

I have been overly pleased with this braided line. I was extremely apprehensive to stray from the usual braid I have trusted for years. I use over 60 lb test on a heavy bait-caster primarily rigged for catfish. My new rod and reel have proven outstanding with this new line. I have caught fish every time I have used it, but I have only used 3 times over the past 2 weeks. No reason to doubt the quality as of yet. I do recommend.

This super line is smooth as silk and extremely thin and strong. I use it on cane poles to winch shellcrackers and bluegill out of heavy vegetation on Lake Kissimmee. Since starting to use this line I have caught over 2500 fish and have not retied a hook once! Everyone else uses mono and they spend the majority of their time retying hooks because of line breakage. I have my limit of 50 by 9 am every day and go to the house.

I hate to give a weak rating, but I could not stand how this line cast. I've always used mono as opposed to braid and decided to give this a try based on reviews. I can barely cast half of the distance that the mono line will cast. And because I feel like I have to force every cast to try and get the line out as far as possible (which is not far at all) I'm not nearly as accurate with where I'm placing my cast. I do have to admit that it is extremely strong line if your not looking for distance then I reccomend for overall stregth. Also not a fan of how it sits on the water.

Did notice the line stats to fade pretty quick, but that is expected and no big deal. It holds up great though! Will definitely be rebuying!

The line works ok, nothing better or worse than other equal comparisons. The color faded after a couple fishing trips. So the color lock technology is not great, because now the line looks more off white/grey.
