While this product is obviously made of quality construction, it did not meet my needs. I was told this eye would work on my Prinsu roof rack. It does not. This product is size M8. You need a 1/4†threaded eye nut for the Prinsu rack, which are available on Amazon. Then simply go to your nearest hardware store and pick up some 1/4†carriage bolts and washers. They’re FAR cheaper than the ones sold by Prinsu!

Works great with the suggested matching bolt. 4 stars for short changing me one. I only received 9. Gonna put in an order for another set. Also wished they had some in black.

It’s crazy FR wants to charge $15 for 2 of these, plus shipping. Works great with M8x20mm SS bolts from the hardware store, and bought some M8x16mm nylon washers on Amazon for a total of $22 for 10. I painted mine with bright orange engine enamel so I it’s very easy see them at night.

I picked these up as a test to see if they would work on my roof rack rather than spending a fortune on the name brand rings made for the rack.These are not quite as nice as the name brand but they are just as functional. Easy to use and install.

So when I first opened these up I was very excited and impressed. The eyebolts had some good weight to them and looked like good quality. I had no hesitation that they would be robust enough to tie down gear with on my roof rack.Sadly, when I paired them with my M8x1.25 hex bolts, I was only able to thread them through 5 of my 10 eyebolts. The threading was very poorly done on the other 5, and on some eyebolts, I don’t think they even opened up the thru-hole all the way because the bolts wouldn’t clear.So it was a combination of either not drilling or tapping all the way through, and/or having collapsed threads or burrs in the threads.Regardless, 5 of my hex bolts got stuck in these eyebolts, and though I was able to get some back out, for most, it broke the bolt and left some stuck in the eyebolt’s thread, making them useless. Of the 2 that I was able to remove my hex bolt out of, I tried chasing the thread with my tap, and sadly, it broke my tap (even using tapping oil and the proper tapping method)...safe to say I was more disappointed in losing my tap as that was worth more than these eyebolts.All in all, the price wasn’t bad for these, I have 5 working eyebolts and that’s enough for what I need right now. However I guess this is a lesson to always buy good quality hardware.

These are great tie downs for motorcycle racks. Nice and strong, very secure. Recommended.
