Not extremely high-end, but does the job. I would buy again.

Item arrived early in promised condition, good sale would buy from again. These Micrometers are pretty accurate out of the box, I tested them against the calibration standards at my workplace and each pair were only off by .0001" or .0002" tenths so I didn't see a pressing need to calibrate them with the included calibration wrench. The supplied calibration standards are accurate to about .0001" tenths. I opened and closed them through the full length of travel for each set, then I applied some light micrometer gauge oil on the threads and did it again a couple of times. They are smooth now and still as accurate. I had the quality dept. at my workplace validate them and put a calibration sticker on them, so now they used daily in production of brand name product. If these are still available for less than $100. Bucks BUY Them, its a good deal!

I was a little skeptical of the quality, given the price of these mic's and from a company I had never heard of, but pleasantly surprised when I received the items. As others have mentioned, they are a little rough/sticky when you first open the package, but once you run them in and out all the way, this goes away. I assume that this is due to the lubricant used on assembly not being distributed evenly.I took the set to work and showed them to our lead machinist, and he checked the standards with his Starretts, and they were spot on. All the units were calibrated correctly to the included standards.Another one of the machinists asked to take a look, and then proceeded to open his tool box and show me an identical set, with the exception that the plastic emblem on his said "Fowler". He also paid quite a bit more for his, as Fowler has some name recognition in the measuring tool world. So the bottom line is that these are not as buttery smooth or rugged feeling as Mititoyo or Starrett, but they are accurate and more than adequate for a home mechanic or even padowan machinist. A word of advise for the home mechanic, whether you buy these or more expensive units: Use a rust inhibitor or desiccant in your tool drawer, especially if you only use the mic's infrequently.

I’ve used these numerous times across the past couple years. My application is nearly always for motorcycle engines.I’m glad I purchased them.

All easily brought to spec'd cal ability with a little pre-tuning. Smooth operating mechanisms. Surprisingly high quality for the price and checks against more expensive gauges in our lab show the included standards are well within specs!

Blueprinted a 383 stroker build with these micrometers very accurate, crossed checked with the provided calibration pieces, and with other precise measuring instruments
