These mid-century inspired legs are genuine wood, but don't look like it until you sand off the weird finish, which looks plasticized. They're a little bulkier than the similarly shaped McCobb legs (not as delicate), but they are perfect for my project. Each leg had at least one small knot. Most had been filled w/ wood putty by the manufacturer. The bolts were straight and inserted solidly. The hardware makes it super easy to install...you just need a drill bit and some screws. These got painted and went on a mid century credenza. Perfecto.

There isn’t much that one needs to know about furniture leg. This is the most common style sold here, though oddly round tapered ones are not usually stocked by the two major home improvement stores, especially in a variety of lengths. You do need to know that there are two different thread diameters for the hanger bolts, although 5//16 like these are the most common. What they don’t tell you is that the length of the bolt is important too. There are two common styles of mounting plates, one uses a short stud that only goes into the plate itself and the other is a longer bolt that goes through the plate and into a hole drilled into the furniture itself. The former is more common on smaller items like end tables while the latter may be found on couches and larger items. The two most common styles of plates themselves are those that have the legs attach straight down and those that attach at an angle.These legs use a longer bolt, that may be a concern so be sure to measure the maximum depth of the hole in the mounting plate before ordering. I like that they do come with a kit of four mounting plates for either DYI projects or to replace what you have now.THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOWMost of the sofa legs I see on furniture in stores these days are plastic, and since they are hidden from view cosmetics aren’t important. However if you are replacing legs on a table, how the legs looks would be important. These are available in black or a medium walnut, which is what I bought. These are sanded or finished in a satin walnut. From a distance they look fine. Also know that the ends are not angled, they arrive with bare wood end but have four self stick non-slip rubber pads.YES OR NOThe one thing that no one will know just by looking at them is if they really are solid wood and if the wood is a good enough quality that it won’t crack or split. My belief is that the wood is a good enough grade to be used with common household furniture. I went by the number of positive reviews, while there are several brands this one has by far the most positive ratings. I found nothing negative about them.

I replaced the chair legs on my Natuzzi sofa so my iRobot can clean under it. The hanger bolts were narrower than the ones on the original legs so I needed to use the included mounting hardware to install the replacement legs about an inch to the side of the original leg location.

I really like these legs. Perfect finish. The height is nice and tall. The colour is beautiful, and two sets came safely, no damage. Really pleased, going to make my sofa mid-century style!

The legs looked like they would work for an occasional chair that I have, however the screws are not long enough and the threading on one of the legs was weak. The legs become loose every time we use the chair.
