I actually got this for an unconventional purpose: to use in a kiln! I make precious metal clay jewelry that has to be fired in a kiln at temperatures from 1400-1800 degrees. Sometimes it's necessary to support a piece to help prevent slumping, but you don't want the support material to leave marks. One of the most popular materials is a powder that's also quite toxic if inhaled! Someone suggested the quartz sand as a replacement and voila! It works beautifully! You just make a little pile and nestle your piece. The sand withstands the temperatures (it does discolor slightly but that is no problem for my purpose), it is so fine there is no texture issue, and it provides perfect support for the pieces - like a cloud!

used this to fill cracks in cement floors prior to pouring structural epoxy into the crack "Low viscocity "sand falls deep into cracks because it is so fine and low viscosity epoxy follows and "wets" the sand, turns rock hard.

This is great sand for incense sticks. I fill a little ceramic bowl with this stand and then stick the incense sticks in the stand. It keeps the sticks upright and the ash simply falls into the sand. I can then lift off the ash from the sand or just mix it in. I like the pouch and its little spout as it makes getting the sand just where you want it very easy. I’ve also used a bit in resin for a beach effect. Worked great. Highly recommended!

We used this to add to the paint for our pool steps so they wouldn't be slippery. It worked great!

Perfect size to mix into paint and glue to create gritty base. Can be glued using watered down PVA glue on textured foam to create great weathering effects and filling small gaps where dirt and sand would normally be trapped, without clumping too much and looking incorrect.

This Aoswtlif 1-pound white fine sand is an excellent choice for creating miniature Japanese dry gardens/Zen gardens. I love how it’s packaged—pouring out just the right amount is easy, and the pouch’s screw cap prevents any mess or spillage. The sand itself is of great quality, with a fine texture that makes it perfect for intricate designs. It adds a calming, authentic touch to my Zen garden. For the price, especially considering the volume and quality, this sand is a bargain. Overall, a well-packed and high-quality product that’s perfect for creative projects.

$9.99 for about a cup of sand is too expensive. The product description says it's a pound of sand, but the description should state volume instead of weight to help the purchaser accurately determine value and establish expectations. It's nice sand, but a paltry amount for the price.
