I bought this for a 12 year old girl for a Christmas present. When I got the item the box indicates for 3+. I hope the 12 year old doesn’t think it’s too simple.

This gem set comes with 28 stickers and 5 key chains that are easy to open. The stickers are more girl oriented-rainbow, unicorn, mermaid, etc. along with some animals-owl, fish, fox, etc. I like that it comes with 2 pens to use instead of just one so that the grandchildren do not have to fight over who gets to do one first.

The clay is only meant to help pick up the gems! Took a few minutes to orient myself and understand what to do, but once you figure out this gem adhesive system, it's fast and fun. Very easy for kids to play with but certainly requires and teaches patience. For adults, it is very therapeutic as well just like adult colouring books.Much like colour by numbers, it's hard to mess up and the finish product tends to look good even if your gemming isn't precise. Adults can use arts and crafts pincers and it will work just the same.I do recommend getting a container/separator from the local dollar store before engaging in this craft. You'll want something to separate the gems and keep them secure.The projects can be small or one after another for a longer time, this is truly an amazing project for the whole family!

I have been a fan of diamond painting art for quite some time, and recently introduced my kids to it and they love it! The problem with most kits we have used is that they only provide supplies for one child to use, so if you're a family with multiple children, this is very frustrating as the kids will have to take turns to work on the art. With little kids, it's very difficult to teach them how to take turns, and it can often end up being an upsetting and time-consuming ordeal. This kit, however, is designed for more than one kid to use at the same time! It comes with two pens, two trays, two wax cubes and so many different art projects to choose from. My kids are 5 and 8, and this set was perfect for them to use. They really enjoyed the wide variety of projects to choose from, and there was enough choice that they were not fighting over the same project. I also really like that the projects were long enough so that they didn't finish in a few minutes, but not so long that that they got bored and abandoned them. The materials provided all seem to be of good quality - especially the diamonds, which stick well and haven't fallen off any of the artwork. This was a great way to keep my kids entertained over summer vacation. We will definitely be ordering more kits from this seller.

I’ve been doing this with my kids and I think it’s a great little kit to do with them. They seem to love it, though do get bored of it after a long time. If I were to say anything, I don’t like that you can’t really keep the diamonds organized though, and I would suggest getting some ziplock bags or something to keep everything somewhat together.Here’s what I like about this diamond crafting set:-It’s complete with all parts-There’s lots of different items, and things to do-It has a lot of diamonds-The individual items are sized pretty well-It’s decently priced-Not overwhelming for little kidsAnd here’s what I don’t like about it:-I wish everything came in a ziplock bag-Only two glue pads-Once the diamonds are opened, there isn’t a place to put them.The biggest problem I have is that once the diamonds are opened, there’s basically no place to really put them. They don’t give you a ziplock bag for each of them, or even a little container. As it’s aimed at kids, it would’ve been nice so they could choose whatever colour they liked, while it still being a little organized.I think I would recommend it though. It’s a great kit, and really nice to decorate everything. It can be a good change for the kids, and fun for them to do as well. At $14, I think it’s a decent price, and worth it for what you get.
