Wow this thing is a pain to assemble, but it is worth it! Beautiful & very well constructed, down to the packaging which is excellent (it takes almost half an hour just to unbox and lay everything out). The first 75% of the assembly is pretty straight forward and easy - doable with one person but definitely helps to have two, especially if you both have drills and a ladder. As many others have mentioned, the roof panels are a royal pain. You’ll see in the instructions, but there are ‘R’ pieces and ‘Q’ pieces which must be overlapped and slid in together as one piece. However, there is no way from the manufacturer to secure the pieces together. My wife & I ended up using command Velcro strips to attach them together and reading through the comments, others used double sided tape or even duct tape. Warning to all - figure this piece out before you attempt! If not you’ll drive yourself insane - strong double sided tape would be the best option IMO. When it comes to sliding in the panels, I suppose it’s possible to do it yourself but it is 10x more efficient with two people. You need one person to slide and the other to guide and push up on the panel from inside the structure on a ladder. If not, it’s really hard to get the piece to snap into place. Also note that once you get the panels in, the instructions vaguely mention snapping in a V piece but doesn’t explain it well. There is a baggie of little plastic V’s that you can pop in between the panels and bars to secure them until you’re ready to put on the final frames. The curtain / mosquito net is also not the most intuitive to figure out, I recommend keeping them zipped together and not detaching them like I did…caused me another half hour of mental Tetris to get them correct. You probably couldn’t pay me to assemble this again but I’m glad I did, it really does look great. For those who are saying it leaks, it doesn’t as long as you do it right. My assumption is you installed the panels upside down and the water is flowing towards you. You can fix it but you’ll have to take all of the panels off and reinstall.Definitely a great deal and a great addition for a backyard - just exercise patience and pay attention when you’re assembling…good luck!

Arrived in 7 days. Tons of screws and little pieces. It took 2 people 14 hours to put this together. Very tedious. Note: One of the first steps is to put the curtain hooks on. Be sure you put on the exact amount you need, you don't get a 2nd chance. Some of the holes dont' line up, wiggle and thump it to move the panels into place. We set the feet on concrete pillars with 8" long bolts, it's level(Very important). The steel plates provided are not that thick, you have to make do. When completed, the mosquito netting ties were sewn too far to the side, not enough netting to have them off their intended centers. Over all...we LOVE the finished product...but we're pretty burned out on the time we spent putting it together. Nice to have a few extra screws included. NO parts were missing(Very important) Kudos to the manufacturer for putting together a product that is functional and stable... yet good looking.

I really like the finished product. But this gazebo is a nightmare to put together. A lot of the holes do not match up and you end up having to drill new holes for the bolts. The instructions aren't clear, in fact on page 29 they say make sure you do stages 26 27 28 and 29 in synchronicity. I was also short 10 screws I had to go buy metric screws to finish the job. But once put together this is a really nice gazebo.

For the price, this is an excellent purchase. Made of good quality material, comes with extra hardware by default, just in case. Easy to move with 4 people to pick up each corner. I have received several compliments from my neighbors. Fits nicely on my 12x12 out deck. I had a sun screen on the covered deck that I extend to it to shade the whole deck. The screens and outside curtains are satisfactory and hang nicely without wind.Assembly took me, with a mechanical background about 3 days to assemble by my self. Had the wife help hold when I attached the legs. That was the most challenging part of the assembly. I left all screws just finger tight (except for the leg attach points) till I was ready to install the roof panels and then tightened them all up first. The Roof panels took 2 days. I am 6'2" so my arm length was sufficient to reach the middle row of bolts and nuts to tighten from the edge. If your shorter, you will need two people. Those plastic spacer blocks were managable and most all the bolts lined up well. I installed a piece of painters tape on the blocks where two panels came to gather to be able to slide it into place and line up the holes. Probably would have completed sooner if there were two of us but I was in no hurry.I assembled the whole thing in place on the deck. 12x20 area. I am very happy with my purchase. Only had 1 dented support beam in the package which made it a little thought to slide in the roof panel but I was able to make it work. The biggest pain was the edging on the panels. If you don't hold your toung just right, they tend to slip out of place and you find yourself lowering the panel to install them again.I did read all the comments before I purchased and think most bad reviews were because of poor installation. After it's built following the instruction which were pretty clear, it is solid and does not leak. The rain will blow in during a windy rain but otherwise, it does its job. I did bolt it down to the deck with 1/4" bolts with washers and nuts between the boards. 1 bolt per leg with no issues as Hurricane Debby came thru the NC triad area. Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point. My wife and I enjoy sitting on the back deck watching the sun go down. Love the ability to install a ceiling fan if I want but will probably incorporate some ceiling lighting like a rope light attached to the roof beams. My advice, get it and enjoy it. Happy lounging!
