This is great at getting them to eat their dry food. Its a bit pricey, but I split one can between the two dogs and fill their bowl with dry kibble. You can see the quality of the meat in these just by opening a can. I will continue purchasing this.

I want to start by saying that I absoutely LOVED the ingredients. They were what looked lie almost human grade vegetables and meat. You can tell by the look and smell that its not artifical. My dogs loved the food as well, loved it too much, and eagerly ate it. However for one of my dogs, who typically doesnt have stomach issues, it caused loose stool. I tested by n feeding it to him, and he was right back to normal. My other dog had no side effects. I will continue to buy this food. Just be aware that if your dog has stomach issues, or a sensitive stomach, you may want to test feed it first.

I hope this information is helpful for other pet parents. Craftsmanship and Use: The 5.5 ounce cans of Applaws Taste Toppers contain a mix of white stringy type meat (the chicken?) with some darker chunks (the lamb?). The gravy to meat ratio is good unlike some other brands where one finds mostly juice.I appreciate this is an “All Natural†product and was pleased that the toppers does not smell offensive or foul like many foods for pets.While this is ‘made for dogs’, I have used it as a topper for my two cats and their dry food. I have one cat who will literally eat anything and knew he would love it, while the other is extremely finicky, but he too enjoys this chicken and lamb taste topper. I did find that for my cats, the topper by itself is pretty rich, so I add about a teaspoon of the topper and mix it with water in their dry food and one can lasts several meals.Packaging: The 12-pack of canned Taste Toppers arrived in a standard Amazon shipping box, enclosed in a small cardboard case that was heat sealed in plastic. The case of cans had a shipping label on it from a warehouse to someone else, and appeared to have been previously shipped, but remained in good shape.The cans are colorful with a photo of the topper food, product name, benefits, serving instructions, feeding guidelines, company website and email, and more.Final Recommendation: I’m mindful of the foods I feed my pets and the ingredients they contain and appreciate this is all natural. While the price point is high, one can lasts several meals for my cats and works out to a minimal cost per feeding. I highly recommend these Taste Toppers, but of course note that adding this to a pet’s diet should only be done in consultation with your vet and the required/approved feeding guidelines for your pet.
