I have a 2017 jeep patriot that completely stopped accelerating, etc. long story short - it was the throttle. a couple youtube videos later & my husband had the job done. tough job but doable if you want to save a ton of money. months later & jeep is running better than before!

I bought this throttle body for a 2016 Jeep Patriot to correct a common issue with the vehicle. The part arrived on time and in the best packaging for a car part I have ever seen. Yes, it is made in China. Also, yes, it fit perfectly and completely alleviated the dreaded "Limp Mode" and "Lightning Bolt" warning light. I typically drive my cars until the wheels fall off, so I will update this review if the throttle body fails prematurely. Knowing what I know now, I will clean the part periodically to try to increase longevity. There are tons of videos online showing installation on various Jeep/Chrysler vehicles, and it took me (a novice) about an hour following very specific procedures I gleaned from videos.

Amazon said "it fit's".2011 Jeep PatriotDon't know, the connection that came with the "new" Throttle Body had a stacked 6 pin (3 on top 3 on bottom) connection.Mine (the old one) has a 6 pin STRAIGHT connectionI don't really feel like cutting the wires and trying to splice the correct wires together.THEY REALLY SHOULD ALWAYS SHOW A PICTURE OF THE CONNECTORS.LASTLY, WOULD IT KILL THEM TO ALWAYS SHOW THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. Mine said China.I will be returning it.3 19 24Amended, this is the one you want if you have single row pins. the Dorman 977-163 Electic Throttle Body.

I ordered this for my 2016 model Jeep Patriot 2.4l. The part arrived two days ahead of the expected delivery date, and was well packaged. I had never done this type of repair before, but after looking at a couple of DIY videos on YT, I was able to to the install in just over an hour in my own garage. The part looked exactly like the OEM throttle body that I had removed from the Jeep. Afterward my Patriot was running as good a new. I was told this repair at my local auto repair shop would cost me between $800-$1000. I am very happy with this purchase. Would recommend if you have moderate DIY auto repair skills and want to save a few hundred dollars.
