This could not have been better. The price was competitive. The kit was comprehensive. A manual and instructions were included. It was packed very well, and shipped in a timely manner.The kit itself install easily with the provided instructions, plus there are videos offered that explain it further. My parts were over 15 years old, and this kit brought it back to working like new. The water distribution tray, is different from the original, but much improved. The rest of the parts fir perfectly, and work as you would hope.

When my heating and air company came to do my fall furnace inspection they offered to replace just the water panel for an additional $50. My Aprilaire humidifier was installed on the previous furnace when I purchased the house 13 years ago and I have never done any maintenance to it, I decided it would be better to rebuild the entire unit. This kit comes with everything needed to replace every part inside the housing, including a new humidifier owners manual. It took me about an hour to install the kit plus a new water solenoid, installing the kit alone, even for the first time, would have taken 15 minutes or less. My humidifier is working perfectly now.

This kit had everything I needed to completely rejuvenate my calcium-caked humidifier. I didn't understand how bad the old distribution tray was until I saw this new one working. I also discovered that the installed feed tube was the wrong model and wasn't restricting flow as much as the correct part from this kit, which explains why the previous owners had posted instructions to control water flow with the saddle valve. Ugh.All of those problems evaporated (pun intended) when I installed this kit. It's basically a new humidifier at a fraction of the price.My only nitpick -- not worth taking off a star -- is that the instructions could have been clearer. If I recall correctly, I got confused when attaching the new feed tube to the solenoid because the compression thingy was in the bag with the strainer. Also, reviewers aren't exaggerating about the stiff feed tube: it took me a good ten minutes to find a route for it that allowed the assembly to seat correctly. In the end, though, I was able to complete the job without heating the tube to soften it.

We were missing the top of the filter housing so we ordered this kit from Space-Gard. It came in a timely manner and solved our problem. We also needed the plastic connector (the part that the tube connects to) which is also in the kit. All works well now. We rated 5 stars because the kit was complete, the materials as originals, and the shipping timely. We recommend this kit to anyone with a Aprilaire 550 in need of the "guts" of the the humidifier.

Confirmed that I have a 550 model humidifier and everything fit together nicely except for the water distribution tray fitting into the scale control insert. The insert is just a bit too wide and deep by about a 1/4 inch but it did not make that big of a difference to fit into the humidifier. No one will notice anyway and it works as it should. Just be sure to use a hair dryer for the feed tube as it does not seem that pliable.Aside from the slight fitment issue, it is nice having everything nice and new inside and ready to go. I just moved into this house and who knows how long it's been since the existing was replaced.

They're not kidding, this is everything you need to swap out the old filter, filter frame, hose, and assorted plastic bits n' pieces. It even comes with a copy of the Aprilaire 550 manual. Very well done! Installation took about 10 minutes and really only that long because I've never done it before. Part of that time was spent marveling at how disgusting the old filter was, wow! Given that maintenance guys won't make a house call for less than $90, I figure today's little project saved me around $100.
