Pass the screw under the base and place it upward.

Align the end of the larger diameter rod with the screw and rotate the rod to connect it to the base.

Easy To Install - STEP 3 (GLOVES ON)
Insert the top cover into the smaller diameter end of the rod.

Easy To Install - STEP 4 (GLOVES ON)
Adjust the rod to the desired length and tighten it.Hold the upper rod and rotate the bottom rod clockwise to lock.
Please wear the gloves to increase friction (for better locking or unlocking)!

Very nice. Large weighted stand makes them very stable. Rounded top should be easy on the cover. Note, I ordered a cheaper set first. The plastic pole was way too thin and I snapped it during assembly.

Only four stars until I see my boat on the spring. and go thru a full year. Until then in mid-summer in the upper east coast they worked well and didn't fail during the rains. Store, my boat... other than weekends inside... but happy with the size of the floor "support" and the strength of the poles and locking mechanism.

These boat cover support poles seem sturdy and worthwhile, but rest assured this product has been the absolute worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. While they do a decent job holding a higher point on a boat cover, you better make sure you get the exact height setting in place because once it is set and you want to make a change (based off how efficient it is with keeping rain off the cover), you'll never loosen the poles from one another. I have destroyed two poles out of four trying to loosen them to expand the height. Wd-40, white lithium grease, channel lock pliers, hammer, nothing gets it loosened without damaged one or both of the pipes. This was a major waste of my money, and for the price of this product it is astonishing the low quality of it.

Unfortunately, one section of one of my poles doesn't lock properly, but otherwise, these are pretty good boat cover support poles. When they work, they have great extension. The base could be a little heavier, but still probably heavy enough. Perhaps the tops could be a bit wider, but again, not too bad. Easy to assemble without the need for tools.

These support poles work great in my ski boat. Lots of height adjustment and large base plate to prevent tipping over. The poles are stainless steel and easy to adjust height. I would like to see support straps included in the package. I am very pleased with this product.

Base to be assembled with one bolt. Very easy. Seems sturdy enough. Stay upright while tightening cover. V nice.

Missing two important parts - two nylon top covers. These parts are necessary for the product to function.
