Your cart is empty. This sand is reminiscent of the rich soil of the Mississippi Delta Wetlands, with dark browns and earthy tones. 0.8 - 1.2mm in size - it has a dense composition and low fines so does not blow around in your tank. Perfect to create a featured pathway in your aquascape or as a base for a natural 'scape. As a rule of thumb, you need 1lb/gallon, so if you have a 20 gallon tank, 20lbs is enough for a 1/2in layer. If you want to build up the height of your decor or if you have a lower flatter aquarium, change that 1.5-2lbs/gallon

Nice quality and size sand with a natural look, one bag enough for my 10 G aquarium, very good price

Great color variation and grain size. This is a little more coarse than regular sand but definitely nothing close to gravel. I ordered a 10 lb bag which was a perfect amount for my 5 gallon Fluval Spec.

Makes my fish tanks looks great. Plants grow well with it. Easy to clean, I just use a turkey baster to blow the rocks and then suck up any filth.

Good product. Shortens cycle time, but does not provide instant cycle as the packaging suggests.

its sand no matter what it says you should always rinse it off. came pretty clean pretty quickly. 10lb bag in a 5gal bucket, fill halfway stir with hand. dump out most of the water & repeat until you feel ok with putting it in your tank. i added to an established tank to help with the plants taking root, rinsed the sand about 10/12 times & didn't cloud the water. will probably get another bag after seeing how it settles through the gravel.
