I purchased a 5lb bag and used 2.5lb in a 5G glass Betta Aquarium as an additive. As listed on the bag it did cloud up for about 24 hours but quickly cleared and and tank water testing levels have never been better after two weeks. My Betta, snails and plants weren't bother but the addition and the color is very nice to the existing surface. It was very easy to add into the tanks I used a large serving spoon and slowing lowered it into the water sliding it off the spoon as I wanted it placed. I recommend this product to help keep water levels safe I'm very happy!

I love this instead of gravel in the tank. It looks very natural and hides the waste really well. Works like a charm holding decor down as well and is easily raked into different configurations.

Looks nice in the tank. One bag came with a whole in it. At the price of the sand I hate to lose any. Definitely makes the water cloudy but it clears in a few days.

I bought two bags, one of which was punctured. You are taking a chance by having this shipped by a delivery driver. It seems like I am not the only one who had a punctured bag. Your tank will be cloudy for days with this product. You still have to let the nitrogen cycle complete before adding fish. Test your water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and PH before adding fish. My levels were off the charts, and I am doing a fishless cycle. The sand does look pretty in my tank.
