The Star Bead Studio set includes over 2,000 solid, jewel and star beads in 24 colors, star shaped bead case, double sided bead pen, flip tray set, sprayer, template sheets, and instructions. New star bead shapes add depth and dimension to your designs, for advanced bead creations! Following the template design, use the bead pen to place the beads onto the flip tray to create your design. Don't worry about mistakes because you can pick up misplaced beads with the bead picker by sliding the trigger on the opposite end of the bead pen. Remove mistakenly placed beads by gently picking them up with the bead picker. Using the sprayer, spray water onto the beads to make them magically stick together! Simply flip the tray, placing the bead design onto the receiver. Continue to create new designs while the other designs dry. Aquabeads is suitable for girls and boys ages 4 and above. Not suitable for children under age 3 due to small parts.

It comes exactly like the picture and the kit is so cute and comes with a few additional things like the spray bottle and many more. I love making aqua beads figures because they are so cute and perfect for little kids to practice their motor skills since the beads are tiny. Another thing they stick together with just water and its so easy and convenient for me.

This is the third "water craft beads" kit I have given to my 8 year old, and while she likes her other beads, this kit is her favorite. She LOVES the cute star shaped case this kit includes to organize the beads, and the star shaped beads. This particular kit is all-inclusive, containing everything needed to get started. I like these for crafting because she can do the entire project independently; when my eldest was younger, we had the beads that require an adult to iron them, and I detested them. These "aquabeads" are so cool, because the finished products hold together just by spraying them with water (no dangerous melting tool required!). While the suggested age range is "4 and above", my 4 year old struggles with these. My 6, 8, and 10 year old children all enjoy making little bead creations, though there was a learning curve for the 6 year old.Overall, this kit is a total "win" for any kid who enjoys crafting. It is great for developing hand-eye coordination and encouraging creativity (and pulling my kids away from their electronics' screens). I would not hesitate to order this kit again, and definitely recommend it.

This activity helps the kids with their cognitive functions as well as helping them improve focus and self growth on being able to make something by themselves if they take the time, the focus and the motivation to do it.It is easy to use and I love the diversity of beads styles and colors.I wish that the drying process would be faster though.Also I'm going to be honest, I don't know how to work with the pen, we've been doing it with our fingers. I wish there were a better explanation on how to use it or even to have a different type of pen that would actually make it easier to do this activity.It is great and super helpful to have those cards with some pictures and that fits into the little yellow tray, it helps them a lot.Overall it is a great gift either for birthday or christmas.I will recommend it.

You can use this alone or refill kits you already have. Aquabeads are a favorite at my house and the kids never get tired of them. The real trick is understanding how they work and doing a few projects to get the hang of it. It's really easy to over-soak the beads making them melt too much. Small children in particular take the "spray well" instruction to heart. You want them wet, not soaked, and make sure they are allowed to sit until fully dry. The diagrams are easy to follow and of course they are great for making up your own stuff too.

We've used Perler beads for over a year now and we enjoy them.We were excited to try this Aquabead set that didn't require ironing, allowing my kiddo to be more independent. We were also excited about all the cool shapes and colors.Unfortunately, we are unable to successfully get creations to flip without either getting stuck to the tray or more often, breaking. We've tried changing how much water we use or how long we let it dry before flipping. But mostly I just have an unhappy daughter who is crying because her design broke.It's much too expensive for how well it works (or doesn't).
