Great value for a filter. I'm using it for my airbrush booth so cutting in half gives me 2 filters for the price of one! It's a couple inches short front to back but still covers the vent grated so it should work out ok for protecting the fan.These do come vaccume sealed which means it will be very flat and thin when you open it. Took the advice of another review and popped it in the dryer for a few min. Fluffed it right up. There are still creases but perhaps if I left it in longer it would help.

The filter media does strain out very fine particles and it’s pretty durable. It’s just not the thickness that’s advertised. It’s about a half an inch.

The vacuum pack made it look like a sheet of paper. Even after opening, still flat as a pancake. I will have to buy something else as this will not suit my needs. I was expecting it to look like the pic as advertised. I will leave it all folded up and use it, but wouldn't buy again from this seller, too deceptive. Glad I didn't spend much on it.

It is ok. Maybe I’m just not use to not having an actual cartridge filter. I had to use more than one layer as to me it was not thick enough. I changed it at least once a week so water stayed pretty clean. Gonna try a different brand and style just to compare.

Superb job of catching debris - detritus leaves and brown diatom algae. I placed them on filter inlet/ outlets - thus keeps water crystal clear .i changed these pads when get dirty//saturated with detritus .Very nice as part of tank maintenance !
