These strips work well and lined up with results from the store name brand, except for the ammonia. They never show any. That being said, they are still a good value for the money, I just recommend getting a separate ammonia test. Results take about 30 seconds which is pretty quick. All in all easy to use to just keep an eye on perimeters between more involved tests etc.

Does not test for ammonia. My readings kept coming up clear, but I knew that couldn't be the case. I used another brand's ammonia test strips, and the levels were a little high. I then poured clear kitchen ammonia straight from the bottle onto one of these test strips, and it did not register any ammonia levels at all. Other parts of the strip, such as hardness and Ph, register, but I don't know how accurate they are.

As soon as I received this product I tested 4 of my tanks and compared the product’s results with the API test strips I had on hand. Happy that they came out pretty close. Maybe these new strips were more sensitive to nitrate as that showed slightly higher than the API test strips. Even so I’d rather err on the side of caution. I’m satisfied with this product.

More tests than other strips I have bought in the past. I have five tanks, of different stocks of fish and investigates, cold to tropical and these strips matched other test strips just fine. As well as I have the master kit if anything was to appear off, but seems accurate enough.
